    My REI wish list

REI is Ok in my book. true...they never have what I need, kinda like when I go looking to buy music...the local cd shops never carry the obscure Israli or German psytrance I am always looking for but at least there is the OFF chance I might find something I would like AND I like to feel superior when I go shopping. (nice run on there chirp, thanks!) PS: ...and remember when the only shop we had in Tacoma was the Jesus based "Base Camp Supply"? Thank goodness us Pro choicers have an option now.
  9. Too much text...I need more pictures and stimuli to sustain my interest.
  10. I have an original, UNsigned copy...damn I wish I had all tha autographs . I did spend a small fortune on a hardback, DJ copy of Layton Kors "Beyond the Vertical", my wife didnt even flinch when I bought it. Both are awesome books!

  14. Does anyone know these folks? I lost their email and would like to get in touch with them. They are from Sheffield last I knew and were friends that knew me from Starbucks in Vegas. Last I had heard, Simon worked for Rockrun.com but he has since moved on Any info would be mucho appreciated! Thanks! Simon and Sue in Black Corridor
  15. Hey CBS! Actually the other biners were just "accessory" biners, one had a loose end of the rope to it and the other just had a couple of pieces of gear attached to it. Nothing critical. The main anchor connection point was the base of the blue sling.
  16. On Physical Grafitti, Calico Basin
  17. Hey BCD! I went to ASCA, Petzl and the Fixe site. Alot of "info" but nothing really specific, just a bunch of vague info and selection of resins, epoxys and such. Probably overkill but its just an option I really havent looked at because it sounds so labor intensive, but alas quality is the ultimate goal. I figured that someone here at CC might have some experience with em. Thanks for yer tips tho!
  18. Does anyone here have proper and reliable experience with glue in bolts? Im thinking of giving some a try and wasnt sure really where to start regarding the actual epoxy/glue mixtures, installation and brands. I have used PC-7 making urban bouldering/climbing routes, but before I jump into glue in bolts I would love some feedback. I currently use rawl/powers 5 piece bolts and fixe hardware and am working in a soft rock environment. Thanks in advance.

  20. Peen schmeen, a little hammer and nail action and yer all set!
  21. Bouldering is a phenominal aspect of climbing, unfortunately its accessibility to the masses and its SK8 style marketing opens it up to alot of folks who wouldnt know or appreciate the atmospheric aspects of the natural realm. They dont give a shit about nature or solitude. I guess thats where WE come in and Distel as the bouldering ambassador to the masses, the conduit of proper conduct to the "new" generation will help to connect the two diverging views.
  22. Choss is Boss! Thanks for the beta Richard . I actually kinda like choss areas...the ethics are a little more freestyle and that opens up a realm of possibilities. I started a route above Ottoman Empire years ago and I kinda feel like finishing up some loose ends...namely the first pitch.
  23. Anyone been to Fossil recently? I havent in years and was wondering the state of the access roads (still random Weyerhauser?) and access to the cliffs proper. I figure Off White might be the closest to the pulse of the the area but any info would be cool as I was thinking of heading down there soon for some fun. TY!
