I am looking at the EF-S 10-22 3.5/4.5, its a super wide format for the digi but, alas it wont fit on any other body at this time. I still like my analog stuff which is mid seventies Canon so I dont think the lack of flexibility will be an issue.

Left 8 cams in the Organasm roof in Zion. We had a bad moment and decided it was safer to just bail and leave the gear. Went back a week later and they were STILL THERE ! You might say I bootied myself.

I just wanted to post a thanks to a local ( Tacoma/Seattle/Edmonds) dog gear shop Next to Nature for helping our big buddy with some medical bills he is about to incur. These folks have helped us raise money for Max's "knee adjustment" and I encourage you to stop by and give them your patronage if you have a four legged climbing/hiking partner.

Gammelost: The name means 'old cheese' and it smells like it! It is made by maturing the cheese in a very damp atmosphere, which applies to most of Norway, then working the mould growth on the outside back into the cheese. It is actually not old but quite a young cheese as it only matures for about a month. Thought to date from Viking times, if you were English and they did not get you with a sword then their breath would kill you! It is blue veined and strong tasting if you can get it past your nose. Norwegians regard it as a delicacy and delight in feeding it to foreigners, going hysterical at their reactions of disgust! My mom used to make me try it as part of my heritage, one of THE most hideous cheese experiences out there. Cheeses of the world. "I just had a bad flash back of the "cheeses of Nazareth" joke.

My tongue was firmly planted in my cheek while I typed that (my mouth cheek thank you very much) I feel, as I believe most climbers and their ilk do, that small doses of profanity add festive colour, flavor and impact to any conversation/description/tirade. Its just the volume and intensity that begin to cause problems when they become overwhelming; like using too much wasabe in your cheesecake.

Treat mine all the time unless its coming directly from the ground. On a side note, some of the nastiest pure water I have ever had came from the Plateau at the head of Willis creek just outside of Zion NP. I am assuming it was so lime or mineral rich as it tasted heavy and thick, almost un palatable but still clear and pure. This was in the caprock at the top of the Zion formations, Carmel Limestone.

Pretty lame site actually, basically a bunch of children getting their chance to use profanity and crudeness without parents around. I have no use for that kind of fucking bullshit. CC.com at least has some form of coherent spray continuity.

Nice thing is, the rep' keeps alot of people away. Climbing is more than climbing and most of the most dubious places are some of the best (and offer some of most profound memories) Fisher Towers, Arches, Fossil, Juniper Butte...etc. To appreciate an area despite some percieved shortcomings is to truly call yourself a climber. Your choices are neat but I find more obscure, yet withing the realm to be also effective. Avoid such time honored drudgery as "lupine", "darkstar", or "neo" Jumar (my dog), Moog, or Yofi ( hebrew for "beautiful")

Stupid fucking america. (lower case for a reason) I live here but I aint' gonna give an inch when they come for me. WWED

If I was smart, I would have bought TWO at the time .

I have not used it BUT from experience, Home Depot quality does not translate to this realm. Just say no to DeWalt for anything but wood. You get what ya pay for: If you cant afford that then the next best is the: Hurricane Drill works unit Seriously, I am sure the DeWalt tool is good, but for holes per charge and overall quality, the above (choose your price range) will be the most efficient. If your looking or a drill, I'll sell you my old bulldog cheap.

Unfortunately by making the world a safer place, we are keeping alive, tens of thousands of people who should be dead right now...I believe the world would be a better place without them. Darwin

I have used the gri gri to solo with and have had no issues as well as some big falls. Mine was modified by Brian McCray who has logged some major air miles on a similar unit under a variety of situations, if you have any questions I would contact him. FB resoles
