I'm starting to get to that point where i'm making vague plans of ski's to do this year... there are obviosly ones that i'll do foshow around these parts, but i'm really interested in skiing some big volcanos up north this year... namely glacier and baker. i haven't climbed either hill before, and was hoping to solicit opinions of like minded folks of which routes make for enjoyable glisse, and what month is best to go for it. understood that snow conditions and weather play a big role, but opinions and beta from past EPICS would be 'preciated.... and if anybody wants to go ski with me, that would be super too.

Redmond, OR ooops forgot the why? Bend is obviously a boom town of sorts right now, but because of that, i think the land/house prices are a little inflated at the moment... so the best bargains are found just a short drive north... not as trendy or hip, but equally good access (sometimes better) than that hip happen town of Bend. United or Delta is going to be providing service into the Redmond airport within the year for direct flights from Denver and or Salt Lake... this will open up access to more direct flights from the east for additional influx of tourons (and their money) as well as providing a better flight option for businesses. T-Mobile recently opened up their latest call center in Redmond, and the city is bending over backwards (no pun on Bend) to get additional businesses to locate. Redmond is obviously closer to Smiff, still close cascade lks hwy, and closer to sisters/north sister access. Still have good brew pub, good climbing, shortage of wimmin , but all in all a good investment spot imho.

imho somebody needs to make a "classic spary" thread. I know this has been tried a few times, but someone needs to make the effort to find the quality posts and make a new thread we could make sticky of classic spray. Required reading for new sprayers. cletus had something like this over on powdermag and it was fucking hilarious. when you have a bad day you pull up that post and click a few links and all your cares melt away.

yeah richard, kick thom atth! Richard Simmons: Slappin' to the Oldies (Thursday, March 25 12:36 PM) LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - Diet and fitness maven Richard Simmons was cited for misdemeanor assault Wednesday (March 24) in Phoenix. Simmons apparently took exception to a man's comments as he was walking through Phoenix's Sky Harbor International Airport late Wednesday afternoon, walked up the man and slapped him on the face, according to a Phoenix Police Department report. (You can view the report at TheSmokingGun.com; link below). A 23-year-old man named Chris Farney recognized Simmons walking through the terminal and said "Look, Richard Simmons. Drop your bags, let's rock to the '50s," according to the report. Simmons is known for his exercise tapes "Sweatin' to the Oldies," aerobics routines set to early rock 'n' roll. SCROLL DOWN TO READ MORE -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ADVERTISEMENT Upon hearing Farney's comments, the 55-year-old Deal-A-Meal guru and frequent David Letterman whipping boy walked up to the younger man, said "It's not nice to make fun of people with issues," and lightly slapped Farney across the face. Farney told police he wasn't hurt but wanted to press charges because, according to the report, "he didn't think that anyone should be able to slap another person and get away with it. Several witnesses backed up Farney's version of the incident, although one believed Farney was making fun of Simmons. Simmons, described as "very emotional," apologized to Farney and to the officer at the scene. Simmons told the officer that he wasn't sure what Farney was saying, but he believed Farney was making fun of him. He acknowledged walking up to Farney and giving him a "playful type slap," the report says. Simmons signed a citation for assault and was allowed to board his flight to Los Angeles.

[TR] NE Oregon- Spring Corn Luv 3/20/2004gapertimmy replied to gapertimmy's topic in Oregon Cascades sweet, i'm going to have to check that out, thanks for the info. i was amazed with the opportunites out there, will have to make it an anual affair. yeah the drive over hwy 7 was pretty, but becky and i both commented about how much it would suck in a storm. but really the drive out there is way to long to visit if you live in portland or seattle (hee hee)

[TR] NE Oregon- Spring Corn Luv 3/20/2004gapertimmy replied to gapertimmy's topic in Oregon Cascades fejas- we went through john day, and then hoped on hwy 7 which links into baker city. the road appraoching a lakes from the direct west still looked to be under a bunch of snow when we got up high. the drive that route took us a tad over 5 hours from bend (with stops and not knowing where the heck i was 1/2 the time). Drove back the same way from enterprise in a tad over 6. quick route, but would be an interesting drive after a big storm
