  4. i usually import my wimmin from prineville or burns, so don't worry about lack of fine choices within bend. besides country girls are much better than patagucci wearin bend girls. I represent the EAST SIDE up in here. I guess i'm not truly east side, but kind of middle central. If i were a single young buck, i'd definately do the west side thing, get myself one of those cruise bikes, which i could ride to drake park and play hackey sack, or maybe get involved in that club that does cool medieval duels in the park. Nevertheless, bend is a happenin great town. plenty to do and see, and drink and eat. Let us know when you arrive and we'll through a pub club so you can meet up with some of the SICKEST mofo's this side of the cascades.
  5. With spring officially just a few days around the corner, and the recent snap of spring like weather, I can't help but notice that an interesting outdoor phenomenon is happening yet again. I'm not quite sure if it is our internet, want it right now attitude, or perhaps we are tricked to easily be retailers flaunting the next season's gear; but during the shoulder seasons (Fall and Spring both), folks seem to hurry up and get their panties in a bunch for the next big thing. It seems as soon as the first sign or hint of spring hits, folks toss the winter garb into deep storage, and rush out to begin summer time activities. Likewise in the fall, the same gear that is being busted out this week gets tossed and folks pull out the ski's or ice tools and obsess over the forthcoming cold/snow. My friends, spring and fall are perhaps some of the most enjoyable times to be outdoors, celebrating and enjoying the things we love to do. The smells and sounds of the seasons changing in the mountains is perhaps one of the most amazing and beautiful things I have ever seen/felt/touched/smelled. I'm personally so excited for spring that I sometimes have a hard time sleeping. Being able to climb up firm snow in the morning, glisse down velvet corn in the afternoon, and all the while have my senses bombarded with the smells and touch of spring, it doesn't get any better. So I'm not sure the purpose of my rant, but get out there and enjoy the wonders of Spring... resist the urge to enter full on summer mode... stay away from summer gear swagolouges, and enjoy this fantastic season. Get Sum.

  23. Climb: Mt. Hood-South Side Plab Date of Climb: 3/2/2004 Trip Report: at 0500 the P.L.A.B. phone rings... it is secret freshie agent thrashador calling from the pdx office, he informs the gaper that the telemetry data is looking tasty for a south side assault of hood. i quickly grab my gear, and my new favorite cd and jumped into timmy mobile and i was off. the drive was str8 pimp, all things keep getting better, and only got better as i saw the blue skies above mt. hood, i got wood. thrashador was waiting with a big ol grin on his face, and said that some other bro from bend had already started to skin up before us.... we both began to worry about people stealing our lines so we set off. now, i thought i was a fast skinner, wwooooooooooooooooweeeeee, the thrashador and mt. hood combo got this gaper spanked. skin was very enjoyable, blue skies, good conversation, and jibbing nearby! illumination saddle from above. so my ass was draggin, and the wind picked up, and my pussy began to hurt, and [insert another poor ass excuse here] we decided to ski from the base of the hogs back, but not before running into 3 of the sickest mofo's out of pdx. No, not the icy hot stuntaz, it was Ursa Eagle, sportin spankin new tele boards (did you say you had never tele skied before?!), Sloggin and Lovin It (anonymous lurker, POST BOY!!!), and one other fine fellow who's name i have forgotten, sorry unkown spray brother. The turns were pretttttty damn good, wanked over below crater rock and then up to illumination rock. Thrashador lead the way, and all turns were plab. After RIPPIN IT UP on the groomers back to t-line, thrash and I enjoyed some brew and eats at the lodge before heading home. Back to bend by 5pm, in the hot tub with obsidian stout (left at my house by jon, thanks) by 5:15, a freakin excellent day to be an orygunian. Gear Notes: i forgot my helmet Approach Notes: i was getting picked up on by mad wimmin in t-line parking lot. they all liked my denali xt's
