  1. bad weather? whats that?
  2. Climb: Middle Sister-Hayden Glacier Date of Climb: 5/23/2004 Trip Report: Shitty. That one word summed up how I felt Sunday morning when I woke up and saw blue skies outside the bedroom window. The previous night, errr early morning festivities (here) left me in a world of hurt. After a quick call to secret agent .jlag. i was stumbling around my house gathering gear. Drunk. On the drive to sisters, I realized that i was really happy josh was driving, cuz i was still feeling the love from 2am. Shitting. At the trailhead, final bits of buzz wearing off, full hangover setting in, complete with post drunken sheaats. My pussy began to hurt. AND, the blue bird day skies were being covered with thunderclappin clouds. Slogging. The next 2 hours are a blur, and we finnally get above treeline, light mist quasi snowishrain, and we are greeted with this: My old friend middle sister, that naughty little las she is, lifting up her skirt of storm clouds just a bit, charming this gaper with her bounty of freshiez, taking advantage of my hungover mind.... we took the bait, and skinned on. Bliss. The remainder of the trip represents why I go into the mountains. The sheer beauty and awe of a storm slowly breaking up over the mountains is magical. The snow slowly stopped, the sucker hole we had been watching just kept getting bigger, and the tingling feeling started at the top of my head, down the spine and went all the way down to the baby blue denali's and the STOKE took over. mountainous ski pr0n clouds breaking jlag skinnin, north sister in background east side of middle awe inspiring shadows, clouds, ice, snow jlag skinning final stretch to prouty point jlag arching huge turns down the hayden gapert doin his thang i'm still a bit in shock from yesterdays trip. the booze haze, the mountains luring us further up, and the resulting magical ski. just so stoked, so blessed to be able to wake up drunk, call up a good friend, and get -P L A B- up in the mountains. get out there and get sum! Gear Notes: 20" brown, bendistillery hazlenut vodka, nasty ass jager shots, mirror pond Approach Notes: patchy snow after soap creek crossing on chambers lakes trail

  9. as jon said, we put a file inside particular directories that makes it so folks can't 'hotlink' images. that is when you take an image hosted on another server and use it on a different webpage hosted on a different server. this practice is heavily used here at cc.com, but it actually steals bandwidth, which costs $ from our server. the fact that it is affecting only a few folks here on the site leads me to believe that your upstream provider or place of employement might be caching content on a server to speed things up, which in turn creates the problem. but then again i don't know jackshnizzle!
  10. the got rope? sticker alone increases the value by .25$
  11. it might be a firewall issue, it is how the image is referrenced from the web server. as long as the originating request is from *.cascadeclimbers.com it will work fine. i think it might be more of a problem if your company or ISP has a caching system like microsoft's fantastic Proxy Server!
  12. homeboy was haulin arse down the hill, he drove down once he got out of the pipe, it was pretty funny to watch.
  13. so i could give dem titties 4 thumbs down! http://www.collegeslackers.com/soundboards/rick_james_soundboard.html

  15. sherrif got up here and questioned them they still reaked of booze. but yeah its pretty dope they made it that far... but they made the mistake of getting off the groomed runs. freakin n00bs w00t
  16. http://www.mtbachelor.com/mountain_services/current_conditions/ some fellaz indulged in too much coors lite last night (saw the empty cases on the drive up) decided to drive their toyota pickup to the top of the SUPER PIPE at bachy, and well, check the above link for the latest terrain feature at bachelor.
  17. is it just me or does a b-top rim job seem a bit contrived? the neat thing about many routes around here is they are so chossy they change from year to year, thus each time a seldom-done route is climbed again, it is technically a FA.
  18. it no matter, the 2nd annual love fest will be waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more plab that 11worth rope-up this year we are gonna have cage dancers
  19. Thats right! A once in a lifetime opportunity indeed, a chance to live the high life of a ski resort playa... the wimmin, bling, and face sh0tz will be up to yer izzeys hizzey! I have an opening in the world-class infurmation teknology department here at mtb ski resort. We're looking for folks that are jack-of-all-trade when it comes to windows based networking... little bit of db work, little bit of network uhhh work, little bit of web stuff, little bit of end user support, and a whole lotta skiing. The official title is IT W@nker, whatever that might mean, and we'll probably start interviewing within the next few weeks. Pay is good by mt. bachelor standards, but definately this job is suited for someone looking for a quality work environment (in lieu of stock options and cubicle money fiending), where TPS reports are set aside on powder days, and where the morning commute into the 3 sisters wilderness is priceless pay in and of itself. If you are interested, or know someone who is looking for IT related work (and wouldn't mind re-locating to Bend) have them shoot me an email with a resume at tcrawford -at- mtbachelor -com Thanks for reading, and go get sum!
