http://www.mtbachelor.com/mountain_services/current_conditions/ some fellaz indulged in too much coors lite last night (saw the empty cases on the drive up) decided to drive their toyota pickup to the top of the SUPER PIPE at bachy, and well, check the above link for the latest terrain feature at bachelor.

is it just me or does a b-top rim job seem a bit contrived? the neat thing about many routes around here is they are so chossy they change from year to year, thus each time a seldom-done route is climbed again, it is technically a FA.

Thats right! A once in a lifetime opportunity indeed, a chance to live the high life of a ski resort playa... the wimmin, bling, and face sh0tz will be up to yer izzeys hizzey! I have an opening in the world-class infurmation teknology department here at mtb ski resort. We're looking for folks that are jack-of-all-trade when it comes to windows based networking... little bit of db work, little bit of network uhhh work, little bit of web stuff, little bit of end user support, and a whole lotta skiing. The official title is IT W@nker, whatever that might mean, and we'll probably start interviewing within the next few weeks. Pay is good by mt. bachelor standards, but definately this job is suited for someone looking for a quality work environment (in lieu of stock options and cubicle money fiending), where TPS reports are set aside on powder days, and where the morning commute into the 3 sisters wilderness is priceless pay in and of itself. If you are interested, or know someone who is looking for IT related work (and wouldn't mind re-locating to Bend) have them shoot me an email with a resume at tcrawford -at- mtbachelor -com Thanks for reading, and go get sum!

Climb: Brokentop-West Face Flip side 9 oclock Date of Climb: 5/1/2004 Trip Report: The corn outlook for my short weekend wasn't looking good.... a single day off on Sunday was all this gaper had to work with, and I had figured it was going to be spent catching up on long overdue husbandly chores..... a bit sadened, i made a small pittanced to the lord of corniez by creating the symbolic sign of corn in yellow snow outside my back door. the high and mighty cornhole one sent me a sign, an email dispatch from all things stoke: schralper. It didn't take much to convince me to go, it took a little smooth talkin to becky to get the final approval, and like that it was set: a late sat tow out to the Green Lakes TH with the skiing destination still open.... does life in the 3 sisters get anybetter? slednekkin and schralpin corn! SWEET! hot sloppy skin love and bachy! A small layer of clouds made the skin in nice and damn hot, but the trees provided some shade from the scorchin heat. The fall creek trail is so much plabber with no wankerz on it, well except me and e. We setup camp on the lava flow just above greenlakes. This site provided super views all around and some SICK rock to boulder on. I'll post my new projekts on 0friction. Anyhow, we decided to go check out the west face of b-top, in particular either the shots opposite of 11 oclock or 9 oclock. Sleep was good, too good, and we had a nice, albeit a bit late start to our day on sunday but made great time up the west face. schralper climbing up shot opposite 9 oclock Due to the later start, kickin steps up the west side went super quick, but so did our time left to climb. We didn't quite get to the saddle, but instead found a sweet ledge to chill out on and admire the fine rock formations that make up b-top. The snow on the west side still hasn't full setup from the storms, so optimal cornage wasn't had, but still, who can complain about making turns in such a dope spot, with some great company, with nobody else around for miles... magical. The skin out back to the TH went pretty quick due to our keen quasi randoteleturnz skills. to quote cletus, a good time was had by all. Approach Notes: lots of snow in green lakes and on cascade lks still, west side of b-top will melt fast though.

good job, it was damn hot on saturday eh? any picts of the route or the ski? bug status? the snow still seems to not be fully consolidated from the last round of storms, we need some good freeze thaw to set up dat corn!

[TR] Mt. Jefferson- West Rib Attempt 4/25/2004gapertimmy replied to gapertimmy's topic in Oregon Cascades jlag ascended to south MC gully in June last year and said it made for a quick trip up to the west ridge, but i think if you were resourceful you could travel along the side of the debris and pick your way up as well. this being my first venture to jefferson, i really don't know much about getting to the south/soutwest routes, but i believe in oregon high they have you go along a climbers trail from the south end of the pamelia lake area. that ridge looks suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuper long, and hot. maybe cluck could give some more beta on the sw approach route and conditions since he went that way.
