  1. Yep it wasn't quite the festival of three years ago, but it was super cool to see some old friends and meet some new ones. Indeed I need to do a better job organizing/promoting.... but for the time being I need to do some drinking (of the left over keg). That being said, anyone in Bend Friday night (13th), stop by my house for some beer and ski pr0n.
  2. mkay, so a quick roll call for Friday night, reply if you are going to be there... or if you know of sprayers who are already enroute.

  11. i call dibs on the abandoned booty.
  12. jlag and i were up at Carl lake a few weeks ago (sans skillet) and there was a bunch of fire planes buzzing just over the ridge for the better part of our first day up there.... This was right before the Lake George Fire went off, so I think they were working on the puzzle hot spot before it got started, but then they were distracted by the lk george fire... apparently they didn't fully put out the puzzle that week.
  13. Very cool! Another generation of choss sloggers is born. Did they take a dip in the pool on top?
  14. Well nothing will be quite a sick as Summit County gnar, but I agree with Winter, pickup up Backcountry Oregon which has a ton of info on Hood/St Helens skiing. There are numerous TR's on this site about skiing the Oregon volcanos, and turnsallyear.com is a great resource for ideas on spots to ski (and has TR's organized by time of year which will help with your quest for gnar) Oregon doesn't have the sickest steeps (except for Chute 4 at Mt. Ashland) but there is some worthy goods to be found
  15. Muffy get some kid sitters, Rawktober 7th is a full moon night, and maybe it will bring out the magical Jager Fairy Fejas! Unless someone really starts to bitch and moan October 7-9 it is.

  21. A new job will have me traveling to pdx 2-3 times per month to work 3 days or so per week. I have some dirt-bag lodging opportunities lined up, but was wondering if anyone out there might have some ideas/opportunities for somewhat frequent lodging in the greater pdx region. I have browsed craigs, but that sketches me out, essentially I'm just looking for a place to crash when I'm not working. Ideally wireless would be available and access to public transportation would be nice. Am willing to pay or trade crashing privledges for chez gaper in bend. PM with any ideas or tips. tia timmy
  22. Amber is from Bellevue, so hot!
