thanks layton we'll get those added in. on the new bb script I think we'll be able to remove the 4 year search cap

jay i do think the most feasible option is to allow people to post to perhaps google or googletube and link here... I'm looking at the video upload and conversion to something standard like flash, but it is fairly processor intensive

is wsdot going to put in a number of non-used ramps to nowhere like the ones in the arb right now? where is the old post of the person's house underneath the ramp complete with climbing holds up to the front door? -
I'm not diggin this years artwork. I loved last years retro bachy throwback with the sisters in the background. That looks like a really bad Norman Rockwell painting, not to mention the building nextdoor to the pub in Bend is now a vacant lot awaiting yuppification via mixed-use shwanky bend building. STOKE Freshiez and fresh chairlift.

I had a function for moderators to do this, but would be happy to open it up to others if they want to help build the index by tagging old TR's. I'll add it back into the new upgrade we are doing, and put a post out for volunteers to help index the old posts

not a browser issue, a keyboard->chair interface problem most likely.

Pagnation (next buttons) are on top and bottom of the super cool new version already. I'll add user/route to the list of search options.

Fellow friends of spray- I'm in the process of giving the Trip Report system a bit of an overhaul. As such, I'm looking for feedback on the system... specifically how it could be improved, or other hot sexy features you'd like to see in your favorite venue of online armchair-digital-climbing voyeurism. TIA for any ideas. timmy

Thats a good call John. If someone would be willing to help tag the TR's (click a button and add the original trip data (Peak,Route,Date)) Please PM me and I'll try to get this feature re-enabled.

Please I have voiced this as well. TR Button has been added. Trask is the moderator.

powderhound, I'm not being elitist in any regard, besides how can I be when I helped start a website that is based upon getting the word out there about crags/mounmtains etc, rather as jlag said, some care needs to be taken when publishing information about sensitive locales. I think what it really comes down to is some common sense when deciding what to publish/where, that is all. I'd write more but I have to go protect my sick new proj in the deserts of CO from getting poached.

I saw a copy of this at Barnes Noble this past weekend. After a quick glance I'd have to agree with some of the sentiments above... specifically those regarding sensitive areas. I was at Crack in the Ground this past spring and I didn't see any signs that said climbing was not allowed, so not sure what to say about that, but rather that the area is a very unique geologic feature that is already heavily impacted by tourons. The one area I was a bit upset to see in this guidebook is the fissure dome rock features located in the Badlands BLM area East of Bend. This area is currently under consideration for Wilderness Status, and some of the rocks have extended seasonal closures for birds.... but what bugs me is this place is rather unique and so far not heavily visited. The rock is beautiful, but is way too small to be considered a climbing destination imho. As of my last visit out there, things are still fairly un-impacted, but I would hate to see such a special spot devoid of all vegitation and wild life... fortunately there is a bit of a walk-in to get to this 'crag'. Another area pointed out in the guidebook is Meadow Camp just outside of Bend. Its a neat spot, but again, a bit of a stretch. Enough of my bitching, but to sum it up, being a transplant to Bend part of the fun was making the friends, and exploring the area to discover these little 'crags' on my own.
