    argentina

in my quest to spice up my career, i've stumbled across some potential opportunities in argentina. have any of you ever lived there? thoughts? details? opinions?
  2. i'm headed up to WA pass thurs evening. we'll be there climbing stuff fri/sat. i've got a rack and rope but you're on your own for jeans and spoon
  3. funny, i was pretty damn certain that curious me is a chick. but whatever. just at thought....maybe y'all are spending to much time worried about climbing and relationships??? maybe it's just meeting the right person.
  4. selkirk. it'll cost you $41. there's a penalty charge for calling me minxie. slaphappy, despite the outstanding reference you were given by other cc.com posters; i think i'll pass on 30 minutes in your dreamy presence. i was warned that it might be too much to handle (read into that you choose ) eric...not quite the right small stuff. fenderfour...nice pic of you but, well...it's time for some rogaine. but then again lets face it...nothing says sexy like a man in blue spandex w/cooridinating blue sockies.
  5. i've got a shiny new never been used got it by accident #2.5 tech friend. i'd gladly trade it for something smaller or sell it. make me some sort of offer.
  6. yup! we know it. there's a back up plan in place an extra week in Yos wouldn't hurt my feelings

    WA Pass

how much, if any, snow is left around the area?
  8. i'm headed to the winds and perhaps tetons in Sept. everything i've read has a lot of stuff that would work for you. lots of easy climbing and scrambles to nice peaks. we're looking at more technical routes but there seems to be plenty at all levels. the book gnibmlic linked seems pretty good.
  9. just picked up the marmot diva. love this pack. hated it until i got it adjusted properly but now...perfect. seems to ride better then a lot of men's packs i've had. a rack and rope easily fit on it. it's designed to carry skis beautifully as well as your ice tools. great all purpose pack. haven't had it loaded w/much more than 20-25#s yet. at that weight it carried beautifully.
  10. michael makes the most important point here so far. s/he can find something else that they are passionate about. just b/c you're out climbing on the w/e doesn't spell doom for the relationship. chelle may have a good point though
  11. lets see this year...i'm a solid 0.5 for das toof! oh well it was fun day anyway
  12. 1) smile 2) when i leaved east of the cascades, i drove a truck and added an orange road cone in the back. somehow it seemed to lull the cops into thinking i was local instead just another annoying college student.
  13. ????? we've always let stuff like this "run amok" in spray. it's close but not uncommon in spray.
  14. i've got the marmot windshirt which i take EVERY WHERE. works perfect under anything. marmot precip seems like a good jacket.
  15. hey iaxx...we're going w/our strenths here.
  16. i always wonder about this... so some freak is in your house. there's a pretty good chance s/he's in the room w/you before you know it. do you really have time to load your shotgun?
  17. hey can i add to/usurp this montana thread? we're planning a 4 week road trip that will take us to WY. We're planning on heading north to MT on the drive home. Any recommendations on places to stop and climb for a couple of days in MT in Sept.?
  18. summer it was light enough late enough last night for me to send some snoq. pass granite and still be home by 8 for dinner!

bump! someone better take these kittens or i'm sending them to winter as a wedding gift
  20. i'm sorry mr. fox, i just would never be able to climb w/you. you're downright dangerous...you forgot at least one of the 382 essentials in your list. how can you possibly go anywhere w/o your portable blender????? good grief! how do you expect to have frapped beverages w/o it???
  21. Now that's some goooooooooood porn! thanks dryad!
  22. i am solidly for reforms in the gun laws in this country. h/e, i have had an occasion or two where i've felt unsafe on the trail. i'm not worried about shooting cougars or bears. it's some the "unique" persons one occasionally encounters. i don't do it often, but on occasion i've found myself on a trail, alone. it hasn't happened when i've been alone but there has been a couple of times i've run into people who made me grateful i wasn't alone. in particular, on one hike w/my SO and son in the Olympics we encountered someone w/3 AGGRESSIVE dogs off leash. These dogs were being aggressive w/our dogs which were on their leashes. Long story short the situation resulted in a substantial verbal altercation between my SO and person X that wasn't far from being physical. He said some not pleasant things about me and our dogs. I'm certainly glad that I wasn't alone. It has made me think that carrying some form of protection when i'm travelling alone wouldn't be a bad idea.
  23. uggh! mr. E ... nice pic. the chica's will be knocking on your door soon one of the hot single girls out there needs to help Paco w/his bitter outlook (surprisingly well on target tough )
  24. When in doubt, hold out for that special one that finally say "oh, what the hell". now we know the way to a woman's heart...cheap rent
