It's been a bad week for accidents on the freeway. This morning on my way to work, I saw a nasty one on South bound I-5 in Lynnwood. Someone rear ended a blue SUV and in a variation on "Smile as you Go Under", the rear end of the SUV ended up ten feet in the air, resting on the hood of the car that rear-ended it. I don't like to smile at other's misfortunes, but at the same time it was spectacular.

I had a hard time getting through Molenaar's book. I read it the first year I had begun climbing, so I had no knowledge of the geography of Rainier to put anything into context. I would recommend reading Gator's book first to get oriented.

I have to call BS on that. There will be peace in the Middle East when Israel is wiped off the face of the map and no longer exists. The Palestinian leadership has not been interested in peace at any point in recent history and has walked away from the negotiating table more than once. It's sorta of a chicken and the egg thing, but the Israeli's have a whole bunch of Arabic/Islamic neighbors who don't care for them much, they pretty much have to kick ass and ask questions later or they wouldn't survive. AS soon as the US stops supporting Isreal unconditionally, there will be peace.

Isreal is completely blind to the terror it commits against Palastinians every day. More Palastinians die every day at the hands of the Isrealis than the reverse. As soon as they come to the realization that peace will never come from bloodshed, the conflict can be resolved.
