Nahh, type "wife 1.0 joke" in google. Ya get 656,000 responses. Like this: " Funny Gender Jokes - Wife 1.0 TO TECHNICAL SUPPORT: Last year I upgraded from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0 and noticed that the new program began unexpected child processing that took up a lot of space and valuable resources. No mention of this phenomenon was included in the product brochure. In addition, Wife 1.0 installs itself into all other programs & launches during system initialization, where it monitors all other system activity. Applications such as Poker Night 10.3, Drunken Boys Night 2.5 and Saturday Football 5.0 no longer run, crashing the system whenever selected. I can not seem to keep Wife 1.0 in the background while attempting to run some of my other favorite applications. I am thinking about going back to Girlfriend 7.0, but un-install does not work on this Wife 1.0. Can you help me, please!!! Otherwise, I'm screwed. Thanks, Joe. REPLY: DEAR JOE SCREWED This is a very common problem men complain about but is mostly due to a primary misconception. Many people upgrade form Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0 with the idea that Wife 1.0 is merely a "UTILITIES & ENTERTAINMENT" program. Wife 1.0 is an OPERATING SYSTEM and designed by its creator to run everything. It is unlikely you would be able to purge Wife 1.0 and still convert back to Girlfriend 7.0. Hidden operating files within your system would cause Girlfriend 7.0 to emulate Wife 1.0 so nothing is gained. It is impossible to un-install, delete, or purge the program files from the system, once installed. You can not go back to Girlfriend 7.0 because Wife 1.0 is not designed to do this. Some have tried to install Girlfriend 8.0 or Wife 2.0, but end up with more problems than the original system. Look in you manual under "Warnings-Alimony / Child Support". I recommend you keep Wife 1.0 and just deal with the situation. Having Wife 1.0 installed myself, I might also suggest you read the entire section regarding General Partnership Faults (GPF's). You must assume all responsibility for faults and problems that might occur, regardless of their cause. The best course of action will be to enter the command: C: \APOLOGIZE. In any case, avoid excessive use of the "Esc" key because ultimately you will have to give the APOLOGIZE command before the operating system will return to normal. The system will run smooth as long as you take the blame for all the GPF's. Wife 1.0 is a great program, but very high maintenance. Consider buying additional software to improve the performance to Wife 1.0. I recommend Flowers 2.1 and Chocolates 5.0. Do not, under any circumstances, install Secretary With Short Skirt 3.3. This is not a supported application for Wife 1.0 and is likely to cause irreversible damage to the operating system. Best of luck. Tech Support."

Seahawks, I like it, it's funny, but I have seen it many many times. I think it's stale and old is all, probably been around since it came out with Windows 95.

Muffy, I thought you live in the best town in the world for that kind of thing. Runningville, Oregon USA. Probably have quality running shoe stores on every other street corner who should do this quite capably. You might do some surfing on running sites to see what or who the bloggers and posters like in your town. My wife did the Portland Fit series to work up to do the marathon (walking it) last year. It caused some big time lingering pain in her hip (which she only just told me about last month). So I offered to buy her 2 pairs of the orthodics, which she picked up from a recommended shoe store: so that she would not be uncomfortable and reluctant doing it. I was shocked to learn how much these puppies go for...but if it works....it's a hell of a lot better than crippling yourself. Course, she could have just gone and seen Layton for a hell of a lot less than that too and probably gotten the benefit as well..... She did not breath a word of it to me at the time....just suffered in silence......and kept on soldiering on.... kind of dumb _______________________________________________________ Like I posted on the other site, I got plantars from soloing up Beacon Rock SE Corner and running the trail down. 2nd lap down I felt the pain starting. Gent (who workd at a hospital excercise/rehab thing for a living) recommended 3 things: 1) When you wake up in the AM, before you get out of bed. do stretches of your feet. I would start by just rolling them around and letting them stretch , then later would pull on them some with my hands. 2) When you are watching TV, sitting in a chair - take a rolled towel and by rolling it under your feet, lightly work it and your muscles. 3) Buy insoles for your shoes. EVERY pair you are wearing. Do'n't pad out of bed without a pair of supportive footwear either. I bought the green superfeet from REI. They are damned expensive, but better than the alternative. BTW, Layton had a better, more descriptive version of the excercises somewhere on the site you should look for. Mine was just to paraphrase, cause obviously, they worked and fixed my problem so I forgot at least half of what Gent told me:-)

Major southern cascades road out of commission
billcoe replied to Off_White's topic in Access Issues
It would be an interesting debate to see if that funding was really needed. "Fix this"? You are assuming it is broken and not better off with less money. Wouldn't you rather pay for important things like schools and public safety and put the difference in your pocket where it should be? -
Jh, welcome, and thanks for showing me how you tie in like that directly on the rope, never seen it b4. Anyone doing some laps tonight at RB?
-
Post a link from Layton where he advised this. I'm not a medical person, but I would think having support for your feet would be very important.

BTW, I'm OK with the forest service personel who are looking for a new mission finding new jobs and just leaving the roads washed out. -

Amazing coinkidink, I was checking that area out on a map last night and lining up some exploring trips. -
From the DMM web site: " Alloy Offsets Coming soon...." I think they said that part of the delay was redesigning the tooling to make them lighter as well. Edited to add: your wife must love you very much, those nuts cost $14 each. I was just there and saw this with my own eyes.

Muff: I've broken both feet and had plantars from running down Beacon (only 2 laps did me in!)in flat soled climbing shoes, hang in there and it gets better. Gent, who is a climber and a PT, gave me 3 things which I remember helping. 1) When you wake up in the AM, before you get out of bed. do stretches of your feet. I would start by just rolling them around and letting them stretch , then later would pull on them some with my hands. 2) when you are watching TV, take a rolled towel and by rolling it under your feet, lightly work it and your muscles. 3) Buy insoles for your shoes. EVERY pair you are wearing. Do'n't pad out of bed without a pair of supportive footwear either. I bought the green superfeet from REI. They are damned expensive, but better than the alternative. Give yourself time to heal, good luck! Now about Marylou and that hairbrush in hand.....hmmmmm

You want to show up at the Butte tonight with yer rock shoes and the hangers? You'd get a belay and the money. -
Ditto on that sediment. I think that having an expert being able to diagnose and cure climber related injuries, many if not most of which are certainly in the realm of Chiropractic, is an awesome thing. It's Seattle's gain, hopefully some of the locals up there will recognise what a valuable, talented resource you are and avail themselves of your services as I did. Very impressive. BTW, you ever get down this way, feel free to stop in and get a belay or a beer anytime.

Did not Iain disappear about the same tome as Donnie Baker and a couple of others? Maybe they ran away together....1 possible explanation anyway....

Yeah, if you're out there reading this, and if you're the one who chopped it, I say identify yourself. I've got some ice-cold beers with your name on them. I think this was on the "TIPS FOR MAKING POLISH BOB ANGRY FROM THE ALLCAPS WAYBACK MACHINE" thread Pope.
