  1. I never knew you could stack tricams. cool post chirp.
  2. Sure you would. My friend did that with a Moonstone Jacket that was leaking. Old, but not too old. Shouldn't have been leaking anyways. Gore said, yup, that sux0r, go buy a new jacket and send us the bill... That's right, any jacket..." So she did, and they sent her a cheque. When my Arc'teryx jacket started delamming, they made it quite clear that they were not footing the bill, that Gore was.

    ha

    dumping freshies here... for now...
  4. Yeah, well, rain ain't so good for climbing either, is it?
  5. Not super creative... Reallly?? I think the guy who invented the twist top was quite creative. Thinking outside the bottle, to coin a phrase.
  6. twist
  7. I dunno, but it's snowing again.
  8. I'd say #2 is the best bet/best value. These are all visible from BC Hwy 22 between Trail and Castlegar.
  9. Easiest access, least inspiring ice (if it even is):
  10. This is a slabby thing to the right of the last one... Unfortunately again, snowy slabs protect it... rap in? Nahh, probably not worth it.
  11. This one looks good too, maybe WI3 and 1-1/2 pitches? This one is "only" a 2 mile hike... (or boat again.) Access to the bottom looks OK, and you could probably walk off the top.
  12. They say there's no ice in the Kootenays... This one looks like a nice 2 pitch WI3/4. Unfortunately the approach sux0r. Either a vicious long hike, or a boat to cross the Columbia. either way it puts you at the bottom of some ugly, steep, and snowy bush/bluffs that are between you and the ice.
  13. Indeed, there was also a death in BC, near Revelstoke. Be careful out there folks. We have just gotten a large load on top of a snowpack that was rotting in the cold weather... WA seems to have a thin, weak pack, and, well CA is just a whole helluva lot of snow.
  14. Sounds like they might have ended up on the Evergreen State pitch (10c) at the top of Vector...
  15. mine is tattooed on my burly biceps... Must be pretty short then...
  16. You know, I actually thought you were making a joke, until you ruined it with the second post...
  17. Alpental is not open though, eh? I was thinking that this was freaky, 2 inbounds avy deaths in just a few days... Whatever, they all suck.
  18. Was this inbounds? I am not up on the WA ski areas too good.
  19. and a housewarming party for me too... PM for directions if you're gonna be in my 'hood.
  20. "Watch for Falling Ice"
  21. I know, I know! Pick me! Sweet, I never saw that much ice on that thing before. The Super-ultra-uber secret falls should be just over the divide seperating the two drainages, at about the same level. Makes a certain geological sense to me.
  22. I could swear I already made this post... BD Miras - touring Rossi MegaBangs - hill Tua MegaMX - hardpack hill days
  23. Sadly this is not me, and it's not even my picture... but I had more than a few of these moments last Saturday Does this need a NSFW tag?
  24. _Canadian Mountaineering Anthology_
  25. Attitude like that, he should stay home every weekend, IMO.
