  1. I have two firewalls cascaded with several overlaying IP subnets for spoofing anyone savy enough to crack either of them. I also scan regularly for processes not on my authorized list Don't need no anti-virus software, that is just playing into their hands.

  14. Commando, wasn't that a Gubernator movie?
  15. Clearly that is true, but rope drag goes up, communication becomes difficult, and also fall potential because of the greater stretch of the rope and/or gear zippering out. Plus my belayer was a newbie. If I were absolutely certain I couldn't fall on the Catapult, I'd have done it. I fall in the more timid category. So you haven't tested your new belayers competancy?
  16. F'n A!!! Nice jorb  Love the pics
  17. Hey, is that why you belay off the anchor when we climb together, because you expect me to fall
  18. Another good test might be having the shoulder length runner tripled up like I and many others I climb with. It'd be interesting to see if that fails at a higher or lower point compared to a fully extended runner.
  19. If you are travelling roped on a glacier and your partner falls into a crevasse, what are you going to arrest with, your 45 cm ice tool. yep the friction of the rope on the lip does most of the work. sometimes just sitting down will be enough to stop the fall. You must forgive him, he hasn't fallen into a crevasse yet. At least, no with me
  20. Chipping holds. Who would think about doing something like that?? If I ever saw somebody with a crow bar up there, well I'd, ummmm oh wait a minute. Nevermind.
