  1. Yeah, I drive a better car than you, so sue me.
  2. You're talking shit to people over the internet, time to reevaulate your life, tough-guy.
  3. Ridiculous how? I merely stated a million times over that 9 times out of 10 there is a much better vehicle for the job. I never threated to sue, sticker or otherwise harm anybody.
  4. Charlie, again, what did I do to you? I didn't even know who you were until you started slinging shit my way this morning.
  5. Boyband?! hahha...WTF? Where the hell you get that from? I'm not sure what the hell I did to incur your pathetic internet wrath, but you're amusing to say the least.
  6. Charlie, you whiny bitch, shutup.
  7. That's mine. My nickname is Harry Dong. I have Dyslexia, hence the backwards batteries and initials.
  8. Great pics.
  9. I dont recall any steep headwall to the summit block from the sitkum. As I remember, it is pretty much a low grade walkup all the way to the top.
  10. Oh, I agree. 95% of the time i use my 1.5 liter aluminum pot. I was simply taking objection to him calling people stupid for using anything but, as if he was the grandmaster of outdoor cooking or something.
  11. You people worried about about what others are doing so much crack me up. Let people carry what works best for them and quit calling them stupid for it. You sound bitter even if you don't think you are.
  12. Your original comment made no mention of melting snow, it was just about the backcountry in general. In any event, what's up with all the agnst? I dont know you, but you certainly seem like a bitter old man. Did some young punk with a lightweight Ti 1 liter pot pass you on a route or something?
  13. Saying "anyone who cooks in a sub 1- liter pot in the backcountry hasn't done much backcountry living" is not an opinion, it's just stupid. That's like me claiming anybody who doesn't climb with at least a 10.5mm rope has no climbing experience. But, whatever, maybe you and allison have some past grudge I'm not aware of. If that's the case, battle on.

    I'D RATHER BE...

You stole mine you naughty scott's man Pfft...we wish.
  15. Yes, getting hit in the head with rocks HURTS. Always good to remembember that.
  16. I often take a .9 liter pot on light alpine trips. But I guess I haven't don't much backcountry living or something.
  17. Tod, we were on route between 6:45 or so and 10:45 if I recall, so that's probably why you didn't see us at all. I'm surprised the steps were filled in a bit. Even though people had done the route the previous day we found no sign of previous steps at all. Lots of spindrift I suppose.
  18. Yeah, we saw that clusterfuck on the lake. I'm pretty sure they were on the lake from what I could tell. It was like a tent city there.

    Need some advice

Hahah....my dumb roommate woke up one morning with a giant hangover and feeling like death warmed over. He saw one of these in the fridge and thought it was just a red-bull ripoff or something. So, he figures it's a good cure for his mass dehydration and proceeds to pound the thing. 20 minutes later he is puking everywhere and ends up spending the rest of the day in bed hating life. Only later that evening does he find out he pounded a 20 ouncer of the finest malt liquor known to man. So much for the hair of the dog theory.
  20. Sounds like me last night. My salmon salad for dinner wasn't so kind to me...over and over...and over.
  21. Yes, argonaut looks like a cool climb. It's a nice looking mountain. Folgendes Jahr? Was über folgendes Wochenende?
  22. While, I'm sure everybody is sick of hearing everybody else's exploits in the colchuck lake area (it's that time of year, isn't it? ), here are some pics from last weekend. http://www.cascadeclimbers.com/plab/showphoto.php?photo=706&papass=&sort=1&thecat=504 http://www.cascadeclimbers.com/plab/showphoto.php?photo=707&papass=&sort=1&thecat=504 http://www.cascadeclimbers.com/plab/showphoto.php?photo=709&papass=&sort=1&thecat=504 http://www.cascadeclimbers.com/plab/showphoto.php?photo=708&papass=&sort=1&thecat=504 http://www.cascadeclimbers.com/plab/showphoto.php?photo=710&papass=&sort=1&thecat=504 http://www.cascadeclimbers.com/plab/showphoto.php?photo=711&papass=&sort=1&thecat=504 -josh
  23. I have those cloudveil gloves. best glove I have owned period. so far they've taken all the abuse I've given them. I don't know where the $75 came from, I think they are like $49 retail at FF or any other store. They blow away the BD dry tool glove, IMHO.
  24. tex, I dont consider climbing basically a backpacking trip. If you'd read my previous post you would see this. I do lots of car-to-car and fast and light ascents. My point is people on here should stop giving shit to those who don't want to do that all of time. Soloing is more risking than belayed climbing, plain and simple, end of story. If somebody would rather pitch out a climb, or establish an extra camp for a margin of safety, etc. what the hell is wrong with that? I'm not saying I would all the time, or even some of the time, but people around here are so absolutist on everything. I again point out that the whole point of climbing is it's an endevour where you play by your rules, not some crap somebody else forces upon you.
