  1. I've been cursed with Elbow pain for a few years now. I had to lay off any sort of climbing for a while it got so bad. I read the dodgy elbows article the other day and it seemed to describe and identify the specific pain better than anything I'd come across before. I'm going to start the exercise plan he recommends as well and hope for the best.
  2. Well, not really a knee jerk response, I just listened to the link you posted and it seemed pretty obvious the guy misspoke. And I believe you know this as well.
  3. I don't know the guy, or have an opinion on him, but he was trying to say he wishes Glenn Beck's rally wasn't at the Lincoln Memorial, that much is pretty obvious. Add in some repetitive soundbites and typical right wing radio hype and, voila, you end up with a freedom hating governor. I truly hope you aren't stupid enough to believe this is proof the guy wishes this "wasn't a free country."
  4. The cheap bastards never pay for gas either. Thank Allah the Jews have such a stand up guy like fairweather to defend them from the attacks of you leftist jew loathing freedom haters! P.S. Rumor has it a Jew was climbing "heart of gold" in Leavenworth today, likely looking for spare change.
  5. OK, I thought i climbed some choss the other day but that picture of you guys traversing the "ledge" puts that to shame. Chosstopia!
  6. The P3 pic and the pulling back in to the anchor pics made my palms sweat. Looks terrifying! As for that shit stain, well...that's just nasty heh.
  7. Aye, me either. We were confronted with a "road closed" this past weekend which could have been easily moved, as the road was drivable past that. When we got back to the car, a backhoe had destroyed the gate and was parked across the road. It was strange because it happened on a Sunday, but I'm glad we resisted the temptation this time. Obviously a loop road is less risky.
  8. Shark sightings, ice tool fishing, and rainbows...definitely the best Baker serac TR I've read. I wonder if the shark has any relation to the red squiggly crevasse monster spotted on Baker earlier this year?

Aren't real climbers supposed to be broke dirtbags who rarely own a main residence, let alone a vacation house?
  10. Fwiw, driving around a "ROAD CLOSED" sign, particularly one with a giant backhoe parked next to it, is a fantastic way to arrive back at your car only to find it blocked in.
  11. Yeah, that's what I was thinking...didn't sound so peaceful. And because he was in a glacier, now his article gets to be the host for the CommentMorons having a debate on global warming.
  12. The Ruth Creek drainage is one of my favorite areas for skiing and hiking. Indeed I have looked up at that rock several times and wondered if there is anything climable on it. It sounds like you put in some real work to make an enjoyable climb and its up to the rest of us to take advantage of that and put some traffic up there. I'm definitely adding this to my list, printing up the topo, and hope to check it out in the next season or two.
  13. Nice work by those involved!
  14. Washington Pass - for climbing, skiing, hiking, throwing rocks at cars, whatever...just a great area all around!

    Utilikilts

Utoolikilt + those vibram sock/shoe things is a winning combo for both fashion and performance.
  16. If you mean in comparison to Rainer's DC route, yeah I think most everything is "desolate"
  17. You compare gay marriage with marrying a tree or a dog, and intelligent people realize you are a dumbshit for doing so. Clearly its just a fundamental difference of opinion.
  18. Wow, the shock that the other two people would want to see a beautiful spot without actually climbing! Almost as lame as bagging on one's partner on the innarwebs. YEars ago my partner and I bailed half way up this route when one of my poons popped off and fell in to oblivion in the bottom of a crevasse. If only he had publicly ripped on me, I could have quit climbing then and saved myself years of trouble. Translation: you, sir, are a douche.
  19. she cried more, more, more... Nice pics and beta as always, Steph!
  20. my friend was just up there guiding a couple of days ago and said the summit chimney snow is almost entirely gone now, just a few small patches.

Was this a case of retracted chest-beating? Where is it? I wanna see...
  22. Really excellent photos. The shot of the huge goat herd is amazing!
