Yes Chuck...its true...i initially posted many sarcastic one liners...But TRASK, of all people, called me on it...Pissed me off and i quit posting for quite some time...Upon reflection, i've cleaned up my attitude a bit and tried to clean up my posting as well...I think you've noticed that as well... Further, upon discussing this w/ Peter Puget, we both agreed that some of the stuff posted would just be plain embarrassing if some of our significant others were to read it...or our bosses So in summary, i think my initial post should've included the statement that "Think about what you post, would you say it in real life?"

How many of you would post some of the stuff you post if you weren't anonymous? Ie, the rampant insulting, threats of physical violence, etc.? For the life of me, i haven't seen this in the REAL climbing community...yeah sure, every now and then someone swipes quickdraws, and the culprit is found and confronted...but in general, even when discussing stuff like bolting ethics, people are more polite and civil when in real life... The funny thing is, posting on the internet is full on WRITTEN and documented...etched in stone as it were... It seems that folks that are not incognito, are generally more polite and civil. Perhaps the fault lies w/ Supertopo...it explicitly states to bring the pins...AND gives a split clean/hammer rating...
