  10. You can spot an Inverno wearer from a mile away by the lack of hair on the front of their shins. I'm a victim. I've got two red rings around my ankles right now.

  12. quote: Originally posted by Dru: Hell if you call it "sunbaked" instead of "rancid" you could even sell it. this gaper is clearly trying to pass off rancid h.c.'n cheese wiz as some kind of aristocratic oscar meyer cheesedog. I'll have none of it. You insult chub and all it stands for with such comparisons.
  13. Look, in the best case, we misinterpreted the data, and global warming has nothing to do with human interaction with the environment. Is it really going to kill us if we lower our emissions anyways? I really don't see this putting the US at a disadvantage globally. We already enjoy so much that others do not. And what if we were right about global warming afterall? That's a big risk to just dismiss. To simply write off the human component to the present-day warming trend and to spread this stuff around is irresponsible, at best. The science is there, the CO2 to warming relationship is undeniable, and anyone who takes the time to look at it objectively would agree. Since the Industrial Revolution, CO2 emissions have skyrocketed. Isn't it worth considering, that just maybe we might be responsible for this?

  19. We were gluttons for punishment heading up there right now, but I was itching to get up there again for some reason. One strange thing: up on the crater rim at the top of the east crater wall, someone has spread out a big american flag held down by rocks, and there is a second one crumpled up on the side.

  21. Good luck to you and your friends. I hope you see them in good shape soon.
  22. and the exposure to falling horsecock down thermogenesis. wear your helmet, unless you like being beaten over the head by chub.
  23. Not sure about the 50 years statement, but mass balance measurements in the north cascades have shown that 10% of the entire volume of the N. Cascades glaciers has disappeared over the past 17 years. Perhaps you could extrapolate from that.
  24. Well Gu can be put into those 5 shot flasks. That makes it really convenient. However there is a new product on the market that lets you store up to several extra inches of chub to cover your emergency bivy-chub rations. It's called the ChubFlask'terx™
