I dunno, it's all hip and shit to embrace that retro thing, but I could never get behind the Average White Band.... Neil Young though is a different story.

Pffft, it's not like he's secretive about his identity, and I'll wager he's been flamed before. He's more likely to be insulted if I point out that his Wipers compilation needs a little work than anything all ya'll say about climbing.

$17,000 is not that affordable though. There is always the sybian. WARNING: The link doesn't have naked bodies, but may not be safe for your workplace.

It goes beyond what Klenke intepreted as my meaning. If Rehnquist died four years and one month ago (note: I'm giving him 11 more months, substantially more than his doctors will) we'd never have had Bush as president (the supreme court decision to halt the Florida recount, which in fact would have proven that Gore won that state) and without arrogant partisan dismissal of prior intelligence, the attacks on September 11th may never have happened. Sure, it's part and parcel with "alternate history" fiction, but I firmly assert that this world would be a better place if William Rehnquist died just over four years ago. Weighing the virutes of whether Rehnquist should have four more years of playing with his grandchildren versus the 150,000 dead (9/11, US Troops, Iraqi Civilians, Iraqi Combatants, Worthless Foreign Terrorist Assholes) should be a no brainer. He's doomed anyway, and shortening his leash a little is the least injury to the world as a whole. Is it tasteless to wish for death for your enemy? Oh, and Klenke? Rehnquist isn't half the man you are. From his early actions defending segregation as law clerk to supreme court justice Robert Jackson to his work opposing registration of african-american voters in Arizona to his work in founding the Federalist Society in 1982, which produced not just Clarence Thomas but a generation of antiregulatory lawyers brought in by Bush to the Environmental Protection Agency and other agencies, William Rehnquist is an odious political creature. You have a substantially more stalwart and admirable character.

Were that it were so simple. If my word were bond, it would be a done deal.

Oh damn Jay, you've shattered my bubble! I was so impressed by the effort you'd put into shaving your pits and scouring off your durable stubble, now I just don't know what to think. You mean you're actually the pregnant male hippy? Ahh well, I've always thought you were the sharpest knife in the conservative drawer, I suppose there is no shame in having my preconceptions unmolested. I still believe in whatever my misconceived point was though, whatever it was. I can't even think past the point that you're not that cute afterall.

Disltel 32 said You forgot to add "and don't let the door hit your ass on the way out." Luke, you're in danger of being a pansy ass liberal softcore suck up. Make note of the new motif: take no prisoners. You're either with us or you're a fuck the poor fuck the world selfish prick. I didn't make it a partisan world, but don't curse me for playing by the rules the fascist bastards embraced.

As compared to the notion that if we offered every rural voter a go at the cutie in blue's ass in exchange for a democratic vote the dems would not only sweep the state but that anti-gay marriage initiatives would resoundingly fail? Hey, if you forgo the courtesy reacharound, you can believe whatever you want about "her." If that's not Republican (I'll fuck you, but that doesn't make me gay), I don't know what is...

That's okay Jay, we'd drag you with us kicking and screaming, might be worth it just for the expression on your face.

Hey Lionel: I'm working on my line of offensive tee shirts to wear for the next four years. Watch my signature line for new slogans. Glad to know I'm starting off with a winner.

You know, I've heard that from a number of people, and it pisses me off that people are willing to give up the fight and move away because 2% of the population leans one way versus the other. It's been pointed out that Democrats love to sprint, fight it out in a short race, but really, what's needed is the long game, affecting long term policy and goals is more of a marathon. Giving up because you've taken a strong hit to the jaw is some kind of weak shit, and running away will not save the day. Of course, I recognize that it helps that I'm a middle class middle age white heterosexual male, nothing that Bush and the Republican House and Senate enacts will hurt me that badly. I've already apologized to my 13 year old daughter for the burdens her children will bear.

I dunno, from a purely geophysical standpoint, Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Utah, Wyoming, Colorado, Nevada, Arizona, and New Mexico all have their distinct appeal. I've long thought that Utah would be great, except for the people that live there. I'd take most of those over the Northeast, though both Maine, Vermont, and New Hampshire have their virtues, as does anywhere close to the Gunks. The semi-south, like North Carolina and Kentucky are also not without their geologic appeal. I suppose it depends on what you accept as "climbing," but unless you're utterly devoted to glaciers, a large chunk of the contintent has something worthwhile to offer. Okay, maybe not Saskatchewan or Manitoba...

Point taken, there's a lot I don't know on the matter. Truly though, I am impressed you're acting on your convictions. I don't agree, but I do wish you good luck.

in what? Inquiring minds want to know... OCS By which I assume you mean Officer Candidate School with the Marine Corps, rather than Overseas Courier Service or Oregon Climate Service, both of which pop up higher on Google. Do effete college educated officers still get fragged by the grunts? Be careful out there. I'd have expected you to try for Special Forces, Green Beret, or SEALS. I guess you're not confident of making the cut.

Awesome. Hope you survive to pull down the big bucks working for private security. Of course, you may wind up working for Shell Oil rather than the US Government, but it's all good.
-
Oh, by the way, shut the fuck up Scotty you whiny bitch, you didn't even bother to go to college in this country. If you're going to act on your values and beliefs, you should enlist now. Maybe then you'll get some respect from the fascists you suck up to. By the way, Blackwater won't hire you unless you get some public funded training from the US Military.

Chelle, Rossi is a charming and soft spoken man, his radical ideals are hidden behind a curtain of civility, but he presents as a very nice man. Gregoire comes off as an asshole, and I find her habit of taking credit for other's work while passing the buck for things gone wrong reprehensible. Still, I thought the issues were more important than personal style, and I didn't flinch when I punched the card for Gregoire. I do understand those who voted differently: twice as many democrats crossed over to vote for Rossi than republicans crossed over to vote for Gregoire. A significant number of very normal people cannot distinguish a difference between personality and policy. I think the real issue is that critical thinking is not a valued skill. Also, the native american voter intimidation, as well as the Thune-Daschle race, took place in South Dakota, not Iowa. South Dakota's presidential choice was never much in dispute. I think the question of Diebold electronic voter fraud will only come up if there is an internal whistleblower. It certainly suits my prediliction to believe in fraud, but I'm not confident it exists. I find it pretty easy to believe that our country is deeply divided, but perhaps a little more selfish than generous.

Pfft, the lying bastards can't run me off from my home.

Dru, that is uncool to post pics like that without warning. Definitely not work safe. i agree. Yeah, it may not be cool, but considering you're in Spray, you might want to read what the link is before you click it. The revealed phrase "chancre" convinced me not to click it straight away. Also, Dru did add a disclaimer (after the fact for some I gather).

Well you know DFA, it could be like you've been "up" Futility Bill, maybe Tex just dogged the Monkey and he's looking to do a tidy redpoint and clear his record?
-
C'mon PP, you know that we've never had a president as secretive and devoted to withholding information as the current appointee. Just try finding much information about GW's insider trading action, he makes Martha Stewart look like a saint, but Bush locked up all that information by presidential fiat, along with all of the records regarding daddy's Iran-Contra shenannigans. Bush is a lying thieving sack of shit, and Kerry, by any objective comparison, would be a splendid improvement. But, since you don't live in Florida or Ohio, your vote doesn't much matter this time around anyway.

Hopefully it wasn't a boil. It's never a good idea to squeeze staphylococcus aureus into your bloodstream. Of course, it could just be a simple sebaceous cyst, that could provide the volume of matter you mention, perhaps best described as a "cheesy material." Keep us posted of any important developments!

I thought you were single....

Dan: I think you're talking about The Good Book, right side of The Folly. Buddy of mine was on top of the pillar for the quake, he was happy to be clipped to bolts on the main wall as the pillar moved back and forth. I was over on The Mouth on the Apron, which considering it's recent rockfall follies, was surprisingly sound, though a railroad freight car fell out of Grizzly Peak right across the way and plowed into the Happy Isles trail center. Shortly after that was when the board at the kiosk at C4 had "Earthquakes, thunderstorms, volcanic ash" for a weather forecast.

Are you referring to that Minnesota network affiliate with the film of US troops examining the explosives, just before they were called away leaving the site unsecured? I don't trust them damn Norweigan gentlemen farmers either, they call jello with marshmallows in it "salad."
