  1. Thought I'd sent you A PM. Definately interested in the bindings. How should I contact?
  2. Looks awesome, dood. That stuck Landcruiser brings back some fun memories from last December. I'll have to call you to get the full details on the near-epic avalanche. Glad to see you all got after it.
  3. Looks like avy conditions are good, eh? The other side of Heather Canyon looked sweet last week. Maybe up that ridge Northeast of Meadows and drop either side. I'll bet there's some good powder still to be had. There's always White River which we never got to do before. North side is kind of a bitch to get into (as you know) - there's got to be easier, better places to visit. Any other takers?
  4. Dammit, I was happy with all our snow down south but those photos got me all amped for ice. Looks schweeeeet.
  5. No photos of the slab but here's the the south face/pineapple pass from a couple weeks ago.
  6. The south face is totally climbable right now. We rapped it after NE slab a couple weeks ago and it was mostly rock with some snow on ledges. Just be comfortable climbing 5.easy in boots/crampons - rock shoes would be cold.
  7. Hilarious. I totally agree about climbing in the dark. Looks awesome out there this time of year. Yosemite is WET.
  8. Sam needs to strap those poons down. Cool pics, looks fun.
  9. Unfortunately not very many. I also climbed NE Slab on Saturday. I think you guys were the team in front of the team in front of us. Busy day on the Tooth.
  10. A pair of climbers descending the South Face behind us on the Tooth got a pair of ropes stuck in the cornice above Pineapple Pass. Not knowing if the pair frequent this site I figured I would post on thier behalf. If anybody has retrived the ropes I'm sure they would be pysched to get them back. I can hook up the contact info. Post here of PM with any info.
  11. I don't know you guys but wish I did and could have been there. Looks amazing.
  12. Sounds cool. Thanks for the tequila tip. Did you put it to use? Can you access any reasonable downhill ski terrain from there? Perhaps Willamette Pass Ski Area-ish area?
  13. Ski touring at lower elevation? Until the snow has time to settle al least. I'm having the same issue. I want to climb a steep alpine route but the more I think about it the more it sounds like a horrible idea.
  14. With all the new snow it is going to be a death trap. Check the avalanche forecast or the weather forecast for that matter. Frustrating? You know it.
  15. I'd think seriously about avalanche's too. In upper heather at meadow's I saw a 6 foot avalanche crown - scary stuff.
  16. Have a pair of Karhu Jaks that have been sitting around for a year. I skied these skis 3 times before switching my AT bindings to a different ski. Don't have the money to get new bindings for them so need to get rid of them. New retail price: $450-500. I would like to get $200. They are practically new. The bases are smooth and the edges are rust free. These are the Jaks that were true twin tips, essentially the Line Motherships with a different topsheet. They would be great mounted tele, AT or alpine. PM me with questions or interest.
  17. So going down the south side is safe but going up is not? That doesn't really make sense. Or are you just saying it would be a bitch to climb over a 3 foot avy crown and dangerous to go around to, for example, the west crater considering avy conditions. Since the pearly gates have, presumably (since there is a crown), already slid it should be relatively safe there, no? Of course this does not consider the other terrain. Am I making sense? Okay, final clarification - is it a crown or just a fracture?
  18. Curious if anyone knows if and where cascade river road is blocked by snow.
  19. I was up skiing low around t-line on Sunday but from what I saw I'd say Leuthold will probably be loaded and you'd be deep in posthole hell not to mention questionable avalanche conditions. Castle Crags will probably be scoured and riming up. Avalanche conditions were pretty solid down low but I would be very weary as you get higher especially on a somewhat lee slopes as Leuthold. Bring floatation, we were postholing at 6000 without skis/snowshoes.
