sig files that remind you a stupid song and that stupid song then gets stuck in your head

If you're on a 45 degree slab, adding weight will add equal weight perpendicular to the rock as to that pushing you down the slab. I don't know what range friction coefs live in, but it seems like for the right combination of friction and slab angle you would stick better if you were wearing a backpack full of rocks! The bad thing to do though is to drag a rope. In that case you have almost no downward (and thus no toward-the-rock) component, but a sizeable component pulling you back down the slab.

Go to Safeway, buy quart jar of honey with a wide mouth top. Remove 1/4 of the contents of the honey jar. Bring honey jar to work. When you come across one of the offending cellphones, open the jar, dip the phone in the honey. Replace. Hide the honey jar (not in your desk). You could also try getting in front of them at a stoplight then just waiting out the entire green and making them wait behind you. That'd show them.

Fluoroquinolone Antibiotics and Tendonitis

I agree, watch out! Medicine is a very complicated field. Do not believe the hype that your doctor knows all the answers. He/she probably knows more than you, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't be able to press them on why they recommend something to do or put into your body. Try taking this challenge. If your doctor recommends something that you are unsure about, for example, using a fluoroquinalone AB, ask him/her why they recommend this. See if they get all flustered and/or start treating you like a child, or if they attempt to explain their reasoning to you in a respectful way. You are paying a lot of money for a few minutes of their time. I believe that entitles you to ask a few questions (in a respectful manner) and get some answers. -
Fluoroquinolone Antibiotics and Tendonitis

Extremely constructive comment. Thank you. [cut and paste websurfing stuff snipped, but can be read above] Your welcome Doc. Actually, I was probably wrong about what I wrote. Most doctors will never admit to not knowing something (I believe they are trained to act "decisively". Bad bedside manner to appear mortal.) Some, like CBS's doc, will promise to look into it. Some will just lie through their teeth, pretend they actually know what a tendon is, and move on to the next patient. I have seen both. -
Yes Col Klenke, that was my point. Thank you for spelling it out so well . You are a very bright young man .

You enviro nazis are really beginning to annoy me. There's tons of fish out there. Why worry about just a few species. The poachers probably needed to do it to put food on the table for their families. I like my roe fried in Exxon oil.

I thought you were looking for a project RuMR. City Park has your name written all over it. Didn't know you required FFA. Has anybody led it, without preplaced gear that is?

I don't think Sagiscarius looks easy. That alternate (right) start to Steel Pulse looks easy, but shut me down.

With each edit you are sounding more and more delusional, a perfect FoxNews sponge. Your avatar is charming.

Fuck CBS are you kidding? Tell that to your doctor and they'll most likely say, "What's a tendon?" Then look at you like you're a bug or something. Look out for yourself out there. -
FIIK! Is that thing even a peak? Looks more like a rock to me. Since nobody is guessing, narrow it down a little. Is it WA Pass area? 11worth Area?

I changed my cc.com name too because I was embarrassed by my contributions

Right, recalls are possible if someone with a shitload of money bankrolls a signature drive. Fucking banana republic is what it is. El Jefe will get the job done. I think it will be more cool if they are not able to close the Pandora's Box and they start getting recall elections every 8-12 months. There are a lot of democratic leaning movie stars with a lot of money too.

You did Prussik last year, right? The Mt. Maude/Seven Finger Jack area is fairly close to there. What about Lighthouse Tower or Toketie Wall? I have no first-hand beta but it seems like there's been some good sprayin' on CC.com about those places this year.

We're not attacking anybody anytime soon, but only because our forces are stretched too thin. Though perhaps an "imminent threat" from Iran or Korea could give us justification for bailing on the "reconstruction" and occupation of Iraq. Another possibility is if ol' Bush gets the draft going again (shortly after Nov 2004), then we'll be good to go. In that case the obvious targets are Syria and Iran, since it will be so convenient with all our forces already over there. I mean, isn't that really the reason we invaded Iraq? We had a bunch of forces over there watching them, we didn't feel like we could call off the dogs, so we just decided to invade 'em and get it over with. I think even JayB will agree with that.

I think this whole Schwarzenegger thing just highlights how much faith Americans have lost in elections and our government. Many people are gonna vote for Ahnold because they think it's a funny joke. They are not worried about the consequences of voting in a guy with no political experience who will not give any hint to his position on specific issues. The reason they are choosing the "joke" vote is because "why not?" they have no say in how the country is run, might as well have fun. I think the reasons people are showing complete disrespect for our democratic process are twofold. First, government seems basically ineffectual, so people think it doesn't really matter what figurehead is on top of the circus anyway. I, for example, wasn't really too concerned when Bush beat out Gore because I figured that it wouldn't really make much of a difference (but now I'm amazed at how wrong I was). It seemed to me like the president just presided over the big mess and did quick fix non-solutions that were motivated only in the interest of looking good in the next election. Second, the ordinary person's role in government seems gone. I mean, it's already bad enough that you're just one vote out of thousands or millions, but when the whole election turns out to be a fiasco anyway (FLA, this CA recall) controlled by the powers that be instead of the people, what interest can you really generate for getting involved? If the people in Iraq are allowed to watch this whole thing, I think they are either laughing (if they hate the "occupying" forces) or are really disheartened (if they were actually hoping that their "liberation" was really going to give them a wonderful government like America). That's what I think.

I think anti-redundant pieces is the winning critique, but keep 'em coming!
