  1. Mt. Si via the Cougar Traverse in under 17.3 hours. Here's the crux.. to complete it w/o
  2. that's funny, I thought that the republicans let Lott sink so that Bushie Boy could put a close ally in and consolidate presidential power (See front page of Sundays Seattle Times). Political opportunism is more likely than PC-dom, and is more consistent with the inequity in treatment. If you want to look for consistency in PC dom, then look at the way Homeland Security has been illegally detaining persons of Central Asian descent. Anyone remember the Japanese internment camps from WWII? Seems somewhat similar and no more justified now than then. US citizens are US citizens. Period. We didn't round up all suspected skinheads in Idaho and Montana after McVeigh bombed oklahoma. I really don't think that the racist comments are the fundamental reason that Lott resigned, they were the opportunity for a fundamentally political agenda.
  3. My aunt is the all time winner for this one, as she is consistent. Here's a partial list: - Cinnamon Sticks - Tie with cartoon condoms all over the front of it.(Prophylactic man to the rescue!) - Super perfumey French hand lotion (as in, 'free with a $50Cosmetics purchase at the BonMarche'). Especially nice about it was the fact that my brother and father (ie, her brother) got the same thing. My Dad has an allergic reaction to perfume, so perfumey hand lotion would actually make him nearly unable to breathe. Merry Christmas! Tacky, to say the least.

Thanks, I'll take a look for it.

    Crystal Mountain

Okay, so I'm a snowboarder who wishes he was a bad-ass tele skier...(Flame suit? Check! Ok here we go). Anyone hear any pros/cons on the various split snowboards out there? I've been checking out the voiles, and they look pretty sweet, but havn't had a chance to see the Burtons up close and personal. I'm getting really sick of the snowshoe-change-snowboard-change-snowshoes-curse-change-curse-snowboard... gambit on b/c trips. I know, I know, I know... Why not just telemark? Because it mangled my left knee and don't want a repeat of that experience.

Name of the new V13? My Precioussssssss
  7. You don't think his comments are designed to encourage, "Peace and love on earth?" I'd be glad to see him out of politics if he is promoting the idea of segregation as sound policy, even if it is just to make a retiring friend (Strom) feel good. I'm sure there must have been something else good to say about him at the retirement. If not, maybe that's a problem too.
  8. Good use of Grinchiness chucK, though you do have a good point. But that also gets back at the whole point of holidays. Is it really about having to buy a gift, or is the gift just a vehicle for saying something else that most people don't say on a daily basis?
  9. In the correct situation, one can lead to the other.... Just make sure it's the right company. can lead to
  10. Even if it is the dullest thread around, at least it has gotten nearly 300 posts, most of which are probably senseless posts like this one. Ahhh... 40 hours until the plane takes off for vacation.... Ahhh.... hot tub, here I come!
  11. Sweet shot, Dru! Where is that?
  12. Well, along those lines... Sunset
  13. So, we've all got a few gems of photos sitting around in dark, dusty corners. You know, the ones that make you want to go climb something, or just sit and look for a while. Got any to share? Here's a personal favorite of mine from the Cordillera Blanca, Peru.

    Fun?

Descending Tenaya Canyon... Only small bits of climbing and bouldering along the way, but one of the better days I've had in Yos. Dropping into the canyon. We took a longer way starting at Tenaya lake rather than the traditional start from Olmstead. This is right at the base of the Megaslab on the N side of Clouds Rest. The pic doesn't capture it, but this slot canyon is unbelievable. total time from Tenaya lake to the Ahwahnee: 6.5 hours.

    The Next Clinton

What about peanut farmers and submarine captains?
  18. Apologies to all not included in the original spray list. See the post at: Sprayer of the Year Arguably, many of the sprayers who hath sprayed mightily enough to enjoy nomination status (except TLG, who was thrown in to keep it from being a total sausage party ) are getting the votes. However, the "I don't care" option is truly a work of genius. As to when the poll will be brought to a merciful end? Why would we do a silly thing like that? Jumping the shark would be entirely out of character, and the spray usually gets good and personally insulting in the dying gasps with quotes like, "OMFG!!! Greg, pleasssssse bust a cap in my ass. I can't take this shit anymore. " (trask, for the record). Ahhhh, the glory and glamour of cc.com
  19. But, if no one else votes, you are assured of a landslide victory

    Sprayer of the year...

Joy and adulation of all CC.commers, and the right to put "Sprayer of the Year" in their autosig. Oh yeah, and a bunch of spray, I'm sure...
  21. Who should be given the somewhat honorable, somewhat dishonorable, title of "Sprayer of the Year" ? Before casting your vote (and remember, every vote counts since we're not in Florida), remember all of those choice moments off CC.com-dom. All the tasteless jokes... Avatar tests... pointless posts consisting of only a smiley... bragging... and Sprayer of the Year Voting!DrutraskGregWDoctorFlash AmazingTheLawGoddess
  22. How 'bout this?
  23. My brother has had pretty good luck with the mtbr.com classifieds when it comes to buying and selling mountain bikes and equipment. If you are looking for new bike stuff, supergo.com consistently has the lowest prices and are really good to deal with. Crank on! Anyone need a Judy T2 fork? I upgraded to a superfly.
  24. Just say "NO" to malls. Power tools. Ice tools. Gear. Cragging backpack (as opposed to trask's shagging backpack). Gear. Tools. Gear. Tools... And, of course...
  25. So, Bush was just voted the Yahoo Person of the Year after beating out tough competitors including Kofi Anan, Britney Spears and the Osbournes. The Competition... Kind of disturbing, to say the least. Nominations for the CC.com Sprayer of the Year?
