  1. Josh - My Dynafits would release like crazy until I took a closer look at the mounting job - basically the boot was not in line with the ski (off by maybe 1-2mm). Engaging the heel would then put just enough pressure on the toepeice to allow it to work most of the time but release under not too much force. Once I remounted them, no problems, the only times I've had them release is when I'd expect them to. GSlater - I'm about 175 and rarely have them in the bumps (tho no probems when I have) so I guess that doesn't help you much. I do know that there's DIN room to crank mine down more if I wanted to.
  2. Get Portland Rock Climbs by Tim Olson (ISBN 0963566024). Beacon, Broughtons, Carver, and Rocky Butte are the closest options. And Smith is a 2.5 hour drive.
  3. nice y'all. sweet pics shred!
  4. He he he that sounds familiar.
  5. Awesome climb. That first pitch is a bit stiff
  6. Thanks, never skied on them. Just found them on a pretty good sale. Been lovin' the backcountry lately but need something to ride inbounds so I don't trash that setup.
  7. Anyone have opinions on either of these two skis? Found the 2K3 models on sale. Or is there some sort of 'cc.com' for downhill skiing besides rec.skiing that I could search? Thx.

i use the bd clipfix too. never used anything else. i broke one of the clipfix thingies off once, but since i bought them at rei they were replaced free of charge.
  10. it would probably affect the ski more if it is remounted, since you'd have to move the bindings in front of or behind the center, since you can't just move them 2mm laterally. i think you should leave it, you'll probably have a hard time telling the difference.
  11. Bummer, I've only had good experiences with Mountain Soles. They put a resole on one pair of shoes that was worn almost through the leather, it's so far lasted longer than their original sole.
  12. That's such a funny book. The story about the carpet samples cracks my shit up.
  13. Yeah, but there is extra room in the seat loop for this purpose (you can pull the loop up to the buckle).
