I'll put it up next to my Lara Croft (the one where shes in a wetsuit with a spear gun) re: to girlfriends climbing... isn't it usually fine as long as she will belay you as long as you want, never climb "better" than you, unless you need a ropegun, never slows 'the team' down, never complains about being cold, wet, scared, etc... offers up her armpits for your frozen hands, BUT will always wait till hers warm up before touching you with them... oh, I almost forgot... never minds when you go off for the weekends to climb with the guys, AND is always there in a pinch ready to go, with gear already packed when everyone else bails on the trip...

My real profession?? professional dog walker (too bad it's my dog and she doesn't pay much) TLG, you gotta wait around, girl! At least show, and then you can leave early if you're not into the dining fare or intelligent dialogue... I must say, the slide show was very nice... great pictures!

I Love my Tibook G4 (laptop), have not had any problems. UW does have some reasonable deals if you go in and check out their "hot deals" sheet at the checkout counter. it's usually on "last weeks" models, or ones they ordered too many of before the newer cooler color came out. have used/owned both PC and Mac for years, and now choose to own a mac. Work weekends, variable weekday schedule, listen to a lot of Billy Idol and Dave Matthews Band (among other bizarrness - those being mildest) on the drive to and from but will listen to input (but only if not driving). Don't lead anything remotely interesting but will follow just about anything.

I second what freeclimb9 said. When I am planing a trip up north to some nice WF ice, my picks are wicked sharp, and I tune them every night between climbs... If I'm going to be doing something that could thrash on my picks, I change them for used up ones or sturdier ones. Find a book that has pictures of tuned picks, or find someone who will show you how. It makes a HUGE difference in how the pick handles in the ice.
