Just give them what they want, they are terrorist and they don’t value life…. But wait….they want free Chechnya what for??? Do the dead care about borders? is their Spirit/Ghost need a land?…I think the terrorist of any kind got what they wanted when someone kills them—“world freedom” just in metaphysical way. sadly enough they take unwilling passengers with them in that journey toward freedom. The way I see it we should all join them in their way to freedom. like that we all get what we wanted we understand them and their “fight” and willing to give ourselves as road bricks for them to march on . we should talk to them to find the best seats on the bus ohh you poor terrorist look what they done to you those bad bad peoples here, take my childe too. What all of you taking about diplomacy??? no one who would like the physical world can reason with terror!!!!!!! no diplomacy needed or required just harsh and massive response

Insights of the accident at 11worth how many of you think that having fundamental knowledge of aid (i.e. Alpine aid) and back aid is important for your safety and deliverance from dire striate situations?

I am sorry I didn’t mean to come a cross as confrontational and/or argumentative…my apologies… I just think that the folks at Grivel had allot of time on their hands last year and decided to reinvent the wheel of ice screws
-
OK I see your point But still I don’t see the reason why...if someone would like a traditional screw they will buy it from BD or even CM b/c they are the authority on that design and their prices are comparable...so I just don’t see the reason...make the 360 better
-
I don’t think so ...they keeping all 3 styles...I didn’t hear or saw an indication of them discontinuing the 360 ...if they do it will be one of the most stupid move why messing with success
-
yeah they did fix the racking problem but they lost all the advantage of the 360--placement in tight spots and with no cleaning involve that was the main reason the 360 were and are so superior to other designs I can live with inconvenient racking but not without speed and ease of placement
-
Wow, an American ice screw…. I never tried it so I do not know. but the way I see it why going and imitating what in the market when they already producing the best ice screw out there. I will say stick to what you do best and do not go and look at other designs, where other have nail it to the perfection of that particular design. If they need to brain storm then think how can you improve on the leveler and the racking of the 360

I have this puppy and I think this is the bomb really strong and light IMHO CMI makes the best Ascenders and Pulleys around
-
I have the Primus Alpine (paid $20) and Yellow Stone ($18). the YS is part of my rig for hanging stove system and The Alpine is part of my ultra light cooking sys. I like them both and the most I like about this is, that all the canisters are interchangeable from the various manufactures so I go for the best deal.

We did the route late July. it is physically demanding route but not really technical with wonderful exposure in the chimneys (gullies). The difficulties were finding the entrance chimney, finding the trail going right from it, finding the base of the second chimney (right by the HUGE boulder), the two section of the exposed 4th class afterwards, Winnie's Slide and Hell highway. It will take time but it is beautiful route One side note if you not experienced with this type of terrain I will recommend camping in Lake Anne and not in the middle or top of the chimneys b/c the decent will be hard with all the equipment on your back especially at the end of your trip when you exhausted

It might sound weird but, would one consider whiteout conditions as fog conditions in term of visibility? Can one bridge the problem by using yellow or amber filters on the headlamp? For regular night travel what can be lost in the way of vision using red filter?
