I think the best answer you can get is “it’s depends”

Actually, US have 52 the two just not declared yet Hawaii and Porto Rico but they are treated as states. also you might consider DC as a state although officially they call it a district (so the capital will not reside in any state for the fear of prejudice treatment toward other states.) True about 13 providences (for the legislator intentions) however, “The vast majority (92%) lived in only four provinces in 2001: Ontario, British Columbia, Quebec and Alberta.” With Saskatchewan 980,985 and Nova Scotia 936,960 being the others where they have enough population to consider as a “related to the issue” consumers Humm... where did you get this information, you sure it wasn’t the other way around? Maybe eVent didn’t want to deal with ID if they not take liability for ID product. Maybe they told them we sell you the fabric and from that point on you responsible to it, is as it is not flame treated
-
Umm, no. California, Minnesota, Michigan, Louisiana, Massachusetts, New York, and New Jersey have tent material flammability requirements, in addition to Canada. Most companies don't want to deal with fragmented distribution/being liable if one accidentally gets sold in the above states. Hummm... NO!!! “Less restriction” implied 43 states out of the 50 (+ one district and one Province (edited to satisfy the bickering Nazi)) state in the United states have no restrictions only 7 states have restrictions therefore the United States (=U.S.) have less restrictions than Canada (With its 5 tangible Provinces (edited to satisfy the bickering Nazi)…not independent states) And NO Companies do not mind “fragment distribution” (although they PREFER unlimited distribution) that is why eVent is available here just no one made tents out of it yet. One other example is the Epic fabric Same deal, black diamond still making them and with no intention of stopping production for the above reasons and they don’t mind the “fragmented distribution” And as for the Liability they solved it via “Very Creative” way “Please note: In order to save weight and preserve breathability this tent is not treated with a fire-retardant. Black Diamond, therefore, encourages the use of basic safety precautions and common sense when using any tent, treated or not. We can not ship this tent to addresses in MA, NY, NJ, LA, MI, MN, CA or Canada. Imported.” (REI)

BD made/sold in the US - less restrictions, ID made/sold in Canada - more (a lot more) restrictions. In the nutshell, the idea behind this specification is, when the fabric caught on fire and start melting the fabric completely dissipates without dripping or creating a large flame. The Canadians think that this is important safety issue the Americans could care less.

New Products Patagonia and Wild Things Gear

What you want me to tell you, go ahead and buy it and in two years tell me if it works or not. You see I like people like you who can swear by the miracles of GTX packlite, two cams, VIOXX and such. Someone must be the guinea pig for bum like me who doesn’t have spare income like yours. -

Hell yeah, still skeptic because clothing are subject to so much more flex then any other of the product that sonic welded seams were on till now (i.e. rafts, bags). Also how many time did you put your raft to the laundry?... I just cannot help it but being skeptic to all the new concepts out there, until they proved themselves in the time test. -

CSS neat idea but time will tell -
It is for 500 of them a little more if I need metal analysis to have the same exact specs of metal alloy, weight and temper but this will be happening only in the first batch and as I said I wont have to pay any certifications unions also there is no major tooling involved here no marketing, no sponsorship no shows hence the lower cost BTW they are doing mechanical parts for cars and aviations so I think an Ice tool pick will be trivial for them
-
This is not what I got as a Quote when I spoke to some steel manufactures out east and when I showed them the design I wanted they said it was incredibly simple and they can do a replica of this all I have to decide is what metal I wanted and how much (CM Cascade). I also asked them if they can guarantee the same strength throughout the batch and they said no problems now I have to get enough buyers for the picks at $4 a piece
-
I might be going to be hammered on that, but… Why are picks so expensive that warrant >400% markup Why the Monsters picks are are particularly expensive? Is picks are Forged, stamped or cast? a relatively CHAP processes. Is any of the picks out there is CNC a complex and expensive procedure that warrant high ticket price IMHO, the picks production for ice tools is the biggest rip-off there is b/c now they got you by the balls

I could be wrong but I love Canucia culture and the burly chicks they have there for some reason I prefer the burly canucian woman to the sexy Americana
