Bonington to Robbins: "I suppose you can tell who the aid chaps are by the scars on their hands?"
Robbins to Bonners: "Actually the best aid climbers are the ones without the scars."
Or something like that - on the BBC in the 60s.
You definitely lucked out having it all to yourself last w/e. On average it seems like Rexford and the Spires are seeing about 2 parties/weekend plus the dayhikers who get to the bowl and turn around.
How about if two rangers ski down with a rope stretched tight between them at chest height and clothesline all the guided parties off the mountain? Sort of like when dudes fall off the Hood hogsback but deliberate?
You know how Dru has many many more posts to his credit than show up under his current G-spotter moniker? Its the same thing for Pete_H, though probably the total is at least an order of magnitude less.
All those posts as Trask don't count.
Whether you shorten "take up/in the rope" to "Take" or "Up Rope" is irrelevant cause they mean the same thing. But Take is more appropriate for lead climbing and Up Rope for following.
