No shit. Marie - use a tire lever for that thing so you don't scratch up your rims.

Toblerone has to be the worst tasting chocolate in the world. Period.

They're a whole heckuva lot lighter than the x-15. I've had my hands on them a couple of times now, and they're a pretty elegant second tool, or even as a primary. I'm not sure if field serviceable picks are an issue with a pick that's not going to see much vertical ice/rock. If used as a workhorse tool, they'll just last that much longer if you can swap the pick out for a new one without worrying about replacing the shaft. Also, even the standard Air Techs are soon going to have curved shafts. My 2 cents at least.

Props to him for holding his shit together, though. Yikes.

Nope, still can't replace the pick. I didn't notice a considerable difference in the thickness - a modular pick for this thing is a non-issue. Played with the Nomic today in the shop - pretty sweet tool.

I agree. I've played around with a bunch of them and they all do it, but it's not a safety issue. Like everyone else says, it makes them easier to clean and keep lubricated.

I don't imagine it's gonna get any better since they found that tunnel going under the border!

After getting shut down trying to get to the Mt. Thompson driving shortcut last weekend I started poking around for a motorcycle or scooter I can chuck over a gate/ditch/rock barrier and found this thing. Fuck yeah. http://seattle.craigslist.org/mcy/85138737.html

Dang, not only did the kid hit him in the head - but he cracked him in the nuts, too! Sounds like something that would happen to this kid:

And don't forget your "fallen climber tricycle simulator"!

The food stops are designed for 4-6 lines at any time, but everyone seems to get in one long line for the first table. Charge to the front and tell the wankers to shut up if they say anything. Like others have said...look out for the wannabes who can't ride in a straight line and don't have any experience riding in groups. Spooky! Don't spend the whole ride with your head down staring at the wheel in front of yours. Look around, have fun and check out the scenery.

Definitely in the top 5 TR's with the most style points in CC.com history

The Aztar is a better alpine tool. My .02 cents.

How do you know a redneck girl is having her period? She's only wearing one sock.

And another thing... After August 1 dogs are no longer allowed in the Seattle Flagship store.

Galileo's are sporting the new rubber, as well as any of the new Anasazis that are being made I believe. Apart from this, Galileos are gonna be stiffer, that's all.

Miller and I climbed the route on the Saturday of Rockfest - you're right...it's a super fun route. I gotta agree with Szyjawhatsit though. The amount of work the routesetters put in could've been reduced a lot by not hauling up so many bolts

Yeah...no kidding

Camalots in the big sizes, and a mix of aliens and tcu's for the smaller stuff. Then grab a handful of nuts and tricams to round it off. Adjust quantities based on your budget

I believe Washington has the same kind of law to protect property and personal safety. Crazy story, Marie. I do want to know what "They did get taken care of though..... " means!

I didn't see any baby birds on Godzilla the other day - maybe some hotshot decided to chuck them out of their perch just so they could get the "bigman climber of the day" award...?

I just read this great article on how to get better, and will get you climbing 5.10 AT LEAST. Here are some of the tips - Always communicate verbally with other climbers so that everything can be performed in the proper sequence, with everyone remaining in the loop. - You must look up to find handholds and down for footholds. A hold can serve as both a handhold and a foothold. - Since your arms tire more easily, climb by pushing with your legs instead of pulling with your arms. - Use handholds at head level because raising your arms any higher can get exhausting. - Limit unnecessary motions as you may lose your balance and waste precious energy. - You should always make contact with the rock in three places: two feet and one hand, or one foot and two hands. - Your footholds should be generously spaced; small steps seem more inviting but consume more energy.
