Oh yea. Their real happy with Israel these days. Even if they don't support Hamas there is a lot of anger as they watch their houses and olive groves get plowed under for the giant wall w/o compensation, have to grovel through daily check points to attempt to get to work, or bury the inocent bystanders. Violence will not solve this problem on either side.

Hey ian, in case you missed the newsflash the other guys started it None of which were in Iraq.

Actually Josh, Bush is only the third president in history to visit Africa while in office and promised to give $15 billion to fight aids/hiv in Africa last year. I'd say he's doing a better job than most former presidents in doing what he can to help the "starving people of color". You might look into this stuff before making an unobjective blanket statement. And don't delude yourself, other than small pockets of liberal voters, Bush will overwelmingly win a second term. I might have voted for someone else, but Kerry is the anti -Crist. Unfortunately all the talk about aid to Africa has been just that, talk. The Bushies have merely repackaged current aid packages and have appropriated (ok - republican congress to blame too) nearly no new money to this effort. Guess we'll just have to wait until November to see, eh?

Hmmm various opinions on what went on in Vietnam. How refreshing. At least the guy doesn't have to pull dental records to show he served his time Try ketchp - it has naturally mellowing agents.

Correct, I assumed he was driving a car. That said - the messenger is even more of a jerk to bother chasing you down. Messenger overdrive, Big "L" on his forehead.
-
As a messanger you get almost run over daily, sometimes hourly, and it does foster the rouge mentalty and agressive biking. That aside, if the dude didn't signal his intentions it's his fault. I'd have to admit to some of this behavior while a messenger. I'm older and creaker now so I'm pretty conservative and give the cars all the respect they're due. But I also give the bikers an extra wide buffer because some are "ametures" and some are hot shots. Don't sweat it. Both your days would have been a lot worse if he endedup under your car.

I fractured my ankle and ripped the ligaments to shreds when I was 20. It took about 8-9 months after the injury to be able to run again. So it likely depends on your age (younger is better), extent of ligament damage (less is better), and general fitness. Have to agree with the above comments - don't rush but find something to do to get some exercise. Come to the sping ski-in and man the keg!

PP - as usual your arguments tend towards rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic and ignoring the iceberg. Even if you were correct on this minor point - which you've not made clear - the other information in the sources simply backs up the general assertion. Your tendencies to defend the BMW sect that you run in is, well, amusing anyway.

Dude - no logic thread here. try again.

Yea, I don't understand the need for the electronic leash. No thanks.

Probably can't get much cheaper than the Whistler Hostel.

Moses, the prophet of freedom, was afflicted with a stammer, and the prophet Muhammad was an illiterate. Neither of them would have had a chance on most of today's television talk shows, yet they moved the world. Helloooo - they had ideas! Bush sits on Cheney's lap while Cheney tries not to move his lips. They will not even let Georgie sit in front of the 911 Commission alone!

The evidence of incompetence is building, the Bushies are running scared. Another one term Bush. Oh, and how about his wonderfully eloquent press conference the other day. Dumb as a stump.

In early April 2004, the General Accounting Office (GAO) reported that over 60 percent of all American corporations paid no federal taxes at all from 1996 through 2000. In addition, the GAO found that corporate tax payments as a percent of federal revenue have reached the lowest level since 1983 and now stand second only to rates paid in 1934. In 1960, corporations paid 24% of all federal taxes. In the 1970's, that share fell to 15%. As recently as 1996, it was 12%. In 2002, corporate taxes made up only about 8% of U.S. revenues, in 2004, that's down again to 7.4%.

Duh! I'm talking about Corps now providing increased dividends to individuals at lower tax rates. Try this: http://www.rhlschool.com/reading.htm

Case in point - according to estimates by the Tax Policy Center an economic think-tank with a reputation for scrupulous accuracy -- the 2001 tax cut, once fully phased in, delivered 42 percent of its benefits to the top 1 percent of the income distribution. (Roughly speaking, that means families earning more than $330,000 per year.) The 2003 tax cut delivers a somewhat smaller share to the top 1 percent, 29.1 percent, but within that concentrates its benefits on the really, really rich. Families with incomes over $1 million a year -- a mere 0.13 percent of the population -- will receive 17.3 percent of this year's tax cut, more than the total received by the bottom 70 percent of American families. Indeed, the 2003 tax cut has already proved a major boon to some of America's wealthiest people: corporations in which executives or a single family hold a large fraction of stocks are suddenly paying much bigger dividends, which are now taxed at only 15 percent no matter how high the income of their recipient. Yea, boo-hoo, they pay too much.

This has been discussed ad nauseum. If you have any knowledge of statistics you know that presenting informtion in blocks, such as quintiles, is done only to butress an argument, not provide a true measure of data. This ploy has been hashed out already. Do a search Greg. Geez, address the fucking issue, dude. Or, are you refusing to discuss the issue because you think that the current progressive tax is "fair & equitable" in you belief system?
-
Oh not the quintile argument again. Another attempt by the neo-cons to tell us the rich are over-taxed. Blah, blah, blah. Something new and interesting please.
-
Pictures please!

Like the Rush fan club newsletter? Do you ever come up with an orginal thought to troll with or just rummage through your mail for this crap? Nice way of addressing the issue, Jim. I like how, since you cannot refute it, you slam it. Nothing to refute - just looks like an opinion to me.
