  1. Not necessarily true Dru. He probably would've been a cop by now.
  2. Question: For those who oppose and are criticizing how the cleaning up/securing of Iraq is going now (much like those who disagreed and criticized how the war was going after 1 or 2 weeks), what would you suggest? What is the military doing wrong? How would you change it? Would you have just won the strategic part of the war (which took 3 weeks, it was no quagmire as suggested by critics after 1 or 2 weeks) and then left the country? In what better way would you operate in a country with remnants of the enemy along with 100,000 newly released criminals abounding? My Thought: We should never have allowed ourselves the possibility of getting into this situation in the first place. Albeit 911 thrust us into the Afghan situation, there was no compelling reason or evidence to make us continue our aggression to other nations beyond that, in my opinion. It is like having to pick up your teen kid from the police station in the middle of the night for some stupid, toilet paper rolling antic one night. You know they were not the career criminal, but just the same, wanted to slap them silly. Not to minimize the events of 9/11, but where do we draw the line on our counter-attacks and aggression without provocation? Have we truly become bullies? First off, we could have been truthful with everyone in the UN, and built a true multi-lateral (meaningful countries) coalition, based upon facts. But the facts were never there. The whole situation was hyped by the administration in order to derive the desired results. From the very beginning, I could (and I assumed every other english speaking American could) pick up on the false innuendos and half-truths that the administration was pandering about the WMD and the true reason for the war. I have read, and in many cases saved literally hundreds of articles that demonstrate contradiction, deception and in-fighting among the administration officials and the President regarding the reasons for war with Iraq. But that is history, and not debatable. It's too late, now that we've pissed off everyone. It is a little too late to be so pious. This was a war of convenience, timing, and intellectual experiment, due to a few men's egos. Not a matter of grave danger, or national security, as they would have had you believe. I'm not that stupid or gullible. We killed, according to the most recent Iraqi count, 37,000 civilians, not to mention untold military men. Now we citizens of the US have to make friends with all the families and friends of the people who we killed (oh, BTW, we don't speak their language), pick up the pieces, beg the UN for support, and hope we can save the lives of the remaining Iraqi's still in the country. Not to mention saving face in light of dissing all of our traditional allies. We also have to take the heat off of our innocent troops, who are being being shot daily. What we have to do now is Win. And I would guess that there is no argument there. We need help, though, I would assume that you also have at least an iota of agreement there. Let's get the UN involved. Get Nato involved. But get someone else involved, and get the cocky little arrogant kids in our administration, who hold a grudge against the rest of world, out of the way. So they think that we now own Iraq and it's land and people unilaterally? And no other country on the planet has a voice in the forcible take-over of another sovereign country? Vote out the dip-shits in office who got us there in the first place. That would be a major victory. Next, open your check book, and bend over. You are in for a Bush-enema like you have never had before. trask-
  3. I'm sick of hearing about her Trask! Just do it already!!! Told her this morning on the phone (I'm a pussy). The deed is done. I'M SINGLE AGAIN Now you won't have to hear about it anymore, AdventureCrack. Now what do you want to talk about?
  4. Unemployed for two years. Sounds like they didn't want to work. But hey, what do I know?
  5. Oh well, I guess now you'll just have to settle for self-respect and a pay check.
  6. I'm really distressed that the government wants to cut combat pay. Now that's just not right. Hell, they should double a combat soldier's pay in time of war. Another case of "What the hell are they thinking?"
  7. You've got that right! Just in time. I was going to have to increase my job contacts to FOUR A WEEK to keep unemployment, just ask klenke. No shit? You mean to tell me those hosers at the Unenjoyment Office actually expected you to get out 4 times a week to find work? Those bastards!!! What are they thinking???
  8. Boy Howdy, did you hit the nail on the head sista. I've spent the summer frolicking with a fun gal, and now am so bored with it all I can hardly stand to see her. I'm even hiding out and not returning phone calls. Where's my balls? Tomorrow I tell her it's a sex only relationship or nothing.
  9. Hmmm, I wonder if she likes older men?
  10. You must be a member of the NTA (National Tool Association).
  11. I think we need to clean up our mess in Iraq, first and foremost. While we're doing that, I think we should watch our p's and q's, and stay the fuck outta trouble. Just chill for a few years.
  12. My opinion is that N. Korea is too unpredictable to fuck with. Even though the homo that runs that country knows if he ever lobs a nuke at us, we'll turn his country into a glass parking lot, I think he's crazy enuf. to do it anyway. Truly a scary sumbitch. He definitely needs to be erased...where's Arnold when we need him?
  13. Her name is Jen Dubinski, and she'll be available for sloppy seconds starting Monday.

    Bummer Dude

CBC: Canada: Guns not at ready before bear attack due to misunderstanding of gun law http://north.cbc.ca/regional/servlet/View?filename=sep05gunlawattack05092003 Posted 9/5/2003 A misunderstanding about firearms legislation may have contributed to the severity of a polar bear attack near Kimmirut on Tuesday. The Inuit guide who was the victim of the brutal bear attack did not have a gun to defend himself. Kootoo Shaw says as far as he knew, he wasn't allowed to have a gun while he's working as a guide. 'We Inuit are not supposed to have any guns when we guide people from down south, that's why we didn't have a gun,' he says. However, that's not what the law says. While Nunavut's Wildlife Act says Inuit cannot use guns to hunt while they're guiding, they can carry guns for protection against bears. Shaw says that isn't how he understood the rules.

    BECK rawks!

    Beck, Bogart & Appice
  16. Beck, you better stifle the bragging about the G5, or me and the boys will pay the mayor a visit with copies of your posts and let him see for himself how you're laughing in his face. If I was a King County taxpayer, I'd be pissed. Why don't you run for President...you're perfect for the Dem. ticket. BTW, Teddy told me yesterday that your mother wears Kevlar combat boots.
