Hey

The greater is 2100 feet lower than the lesser, but more spectacular nonetheless.

5. You think the emigres are bad? Try the one's still living there who've made their millions. They make "ugly americans" look like miss america Ah, yes - the not-so-subtle racism of the open minded foraker and cj on display once again.

http://www.opinionjournal.com/editorial/feature.html?id=110009189 http://www.epionline.org/news_detail.cfm?rid=33 Hey Jim! What do you think about ACORN's proven voter fraud? Is it OK since it blends well with your political goals? Do you view it as some sort of offset to perceived Republican fraud? I can't help but notice that you love throwing out these unsubstantiated bombs only to then just walk away. You have yet to acknowlege questions about your group, "World Can't Wait", and its proven communist affiliations. Are you still OK with being a puppet/tool?
7. I consider your creeping political ideology - notably your past expressed desire for "agrarian reform" - more of a threat to national security and my well being than any of the current crop of Islamic fanatics. You claim to represent free thought and expression, but too often demonstrate contempt for the truest forms of those ideals.
8. Your statement on another thread just three days ago: So how did it go? I could see the mountain all day from Tacoma, so naturally I was thinking about you up there fixing that remote. After all, I know that you always do what you say you're going to do.
9. Wow! That is one strong guardrail on that bridge! I wonder if anything is left of the White River Glacier? The force shown in the photos looks like it could have come from a glacial blowout.
10. Yup Am I the only one to notice the true genuis and irony of foraker's post, linking his re-direct back to the OP, but changing the suffix to read "foxnews.com" (hover your cursor over his link)? True genius, I say. Pleease, Sobo. Foraker is one ego that doesn't need stroking.
11. Oh shit! I'm still trying to stop laughing. I just love that Slav mentality. Damn.
12. The Tacoma News Tribune reported that dozens of MRNP administrative/non essential staff were sent home with pay UFN. I don't mean to sound cold, but if the road to my place of employment were washed away I would be off work without pay as would most private-sector employees. As a regular visitor and observer, I hear NP employee's constant harping about underfunding - and now they get to collect their paychecks for doing.....nothing? Look, I feel badly for anyone who loses their job due to circumstances beyond their control - but am I the only one who sees a private vs public caste here? MRNP is not a jobs program. ....And let's get that road fixed before certain Oregon environmental lawyers get some goof-ball judge to halt repairs and demand an EIS.
13. You seem a little vague, Matt. If you really wanted to present a case I would think you could at least cite the name and quote-date of this supposed individual - maybe even know his title and/or position at Diebold?? Maybe something a little more substantial than "whoever he was". Again, Matt, any PN data to back this up? This is, at least, believable. But more info would be helpful. I honestly don't know what to believe re "hacking". It seems we have programmers right here on this thread with opposing views. Hardly. I think the thing I find most perplexing (and frustrating) about you is that you're so down-to-earth in some other regards, and yet are so given over to these complicated conspiracy theories - the ones that fit into your political ideology anyhow. Unfortunately, this only seems to be a priority when Democrats lose. I don't expect we'll hear much about it - unless Republicans come out ahead in 2008.
14. Don't you think that the basic sentiment of the first paragraph equally applies to the second? Not at all. Paper ballots (which are subsequently fed into a reader) don't confuse anyone. A touch screen does.
15. I like the optical scan heavy-paper ballots we use here is Pierce County. Simple, and a clear record of my vote. Anyone who can't fill one out properly probably should not be voting anyhow. My polling place offered me a chance to use the one new touch screen machines they had off in the corner, but I declined. I'm not sure how MattP's Diebold/right wing conspiracy meshes with Dru's Diebold/Chavez/left conspiracy, but I share both of their concerns. I think an even bigger problem in the short-term with the new touch-screen equipment is the simple fact that older/elderly voters are intimidated by computers. My grandmother actually sat out this vote because her poll location had the new touch screens (exclusively) during the primary and she found them to be "confusing" and "irritating". She's 92.
16. Hey Crux! You don't seem too upset about all of these "irregularities" today. Could it be that you were never really worried about the process at all?

18. He has (supposedly) renounced his communist ways. We'll see. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/6117704.stm
19. Those "Bushisms" are gonna seem so petty one year from now.
20. I predict an entertaining two years.
21. I could tell you, but the word would be difficult for you to pronounce with your teeth scattered all about Red Square.
22. All I can offer is my respect and best wishes. You're a class-act, CB - even if you do have some political flaws.
23. This question is funny as it's coming from a social void who takes any and every opportunity to tell us all about his mail-order doctorate, his wife's upcoming GMAT test (maybe when she passes she'll finally move on to a real man), and his own scientific brilliance and intellectual prowess. What a fucking dolt.
