  1. The most recent comments were speculation in response to TTK's assertion:
  2. This is the mastermind/planner of the 9/11 attacks. This is no ordinary criminal. It would be akin to Truman ordering the release of Tojo. Ain't gonna happen.
  3. Seriously. I don't think the American public will care much about the other detainees, but even Obama doesn't possess enough political or populist capital to set Khalid Sheikh Mohammed free. He would be impeached. What do you think he'll do?

Already had one today. Third person, singular. :kisss:
  5. Do you really think Obama is dumb enough to release this one? I don't.

First person? But can you type while engaging the present participle? Let us know when the preterite can be applied to the O. Dude, you are not talking to Yngve anymore. He's missing too many vowels.

  8. Obama the pragmatist. I'm starting to like our president more every day! http://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/news/world/obama-softens-on-guantanamo-pledge/2009/01/12/1231608560643.html
  9. Careful, Prole! You're gonna get MattP all not selectively upset. You've clearly taken Spray to a new low!
  10. When are they gonna bury that sad fuck? I think it would be symbolic is so many ways. He doesn't look to have the hands of a worker--and is that nail polish? Wankin' Prole's little dickie.

  12. "One person who had been read a transition memorandum on the subject said that the memo described the new administration as favoring federal court prosecution and stated that military commissions would remain in place during a review process if legal teams conclude that there are unforeseen difficulties in continuing prosecutions in existing American courts." Sounds like Obama wants to leave himself some wiggle room on this issue.
  13. I don't know what else you expect from conservatives. It's not like they can use reality to support their point of view. Short of weaving, dodging, cherry picking facts, unsubstantiated ad-hominem attacks, ... what exactly do you want them to do? Read back what you just wrote, junior.
  14. Hey Matt, it was a joke in response to Bill quadruple posting after my slam on the idiot aka j_b for his 'triple post'. I'm sure Bill understands. I like Bill and agree with him on most things. Lighten up. As for why no one will talk politics with you: It may be because you're only willing to chat with the straw men you create. You don't really engage anyone real at all.
  15. Sorry Bill. Incomplete thoughts don't qualify you for ward 3. If you want to spend time with TTK and j_b, it will have to be while they're using their day passes.
  16. But, then again, you can't do much of anything right now--like climb or ski--so maybe you should post your opinions on couchjockeys.com and open up another bag of 'dem Lay's potato chips.
  17. I liked The River because it told an American story in words and music. Almost a kind of rock-opera like 'Tommy' or 'The Wall'. The rest of his stuff just sucks. Also, I didn't like the way he tied himself to Roy Orbison in that kind of "Look at me! I'm jammin with Roy Orbison!" way. That B/W video just annoys the shit out of me. Springsteen looks like he truly believed it was all about him, but he was the least of the actors there.
  18. Three unbroken complete-thought posts in a row represents a diagnosis of a mental illness. You and TTK are the only patients in ward 3. Congratulations.
  19. Looks like they may have to stop upgrading the fleet of state vehicles every 9 months, cut back on travel to those useless out-of-state "seminars", and implement a 40-hour work week for administrators. Cutting services to non-citizens might be a place to start as well. We had such high hopes for The Governator but it looks like even He became contaminated by the big government Dem machine. I'm starting to wonder if California has the makings of a (real) revolt.
  20. That's true, how will he know for sure? Is there a test that comes with a certificate? And how do we know she's not actually one of those second-rate "restored" virgins who's been surgically tightened? Twenty two years old is pretty suspect IMO, but it's interesting that supply and demand might actually work in reverse in instances like this. The supply of 18 year-old virgins is naturally higher--along with the price?
