  1. I know that arguing toe to toe with the rightwing is distasteful to people like you but you fail to realize that 3rd grade level rhetoric and below is what has set this country's course for decades now. Millions listen to fucking rush limbaugh and until you recognize that fact and get your pretty hands dirty, the barbarians will keep running all over you. Attacking the intellectual capacity of those with whom they disagree is a hallmark of those on the left, but dig deep and you'll discover that about 95% of these goof-balls lack any of the academic credentials they try to project or claim to possess. Most are just lost souls unable or unwilling to compete in a free society, or simply believers that the free market does not properly reward their own perceived intellectual superiority. j_b in a nut shell.

  3. Well said, JayB. In the case of airstrikes on the homes of islamic killers I think the blame for any ensuing carnage lies squarely on the shoulders of those who sought refuge behind women and children. A case in point was the Hezbollah missile attacks on Israel launched from the roofs of apartment buildings in Lebanon. The doctrine of 'total war' is another story and I'm less comfortable with it. Tecumseh Sherman was probably the first American to embrace the practice when he deliberately took the war to southern civilians, but FDR's firebombing of civilian targets in Japan with no military value to speak of was immoral in the extreme--even more so that the atomic bombings later that year, that at least had the sole purpose of forcing a surrender. But the question you propose is one of statistical morality. Who is a darker soul? The pilot of the B29 killing innocents by the thousands as they huddle in their basements, or the junior officer who places a pistol against the head of a man and pulls the trigger? And if refusing to stoop to our enemies level--even just a little--means the demise of our culture and macro-ideals in the long run, then what, exactly, was the difference? Who is worse? The pilot? I believe the man in the second photo is--but I understand why others would disagree.
  4. So I guess no one is up to the challenge--or just don't know. It's the "do something" disease--and, in j_b's case, a mental deficiency.
  5. Exactly what is in this spending bill that you like so much? Be specific.
  6. There are things a man values more than his own life and physical comfort. I'm just saying...

I know the 2nd Law disproves evolution. JC: No it doesn't: http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hbase/thermo/bioentropy.html#c1 http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hbase/thermo/seclawcon.html#c1 TTK: The only problem I have with entropy is it's bleak outlook on the fate of the universe. Energy and matter in eternal balance under law #1 feels a lot nicer.
  8. Just a few quick ideas: "Scratched Helmet"? "Shrinkage"? "Not Very Hard"? "5.0"? "Bulldog"? "Ghey Belay"? "Slipknot"? "Streak"? "Skidmarks"?
  9. I didn't want to be wrongly accused of initiating yet another ad-hominem attack on a tax cheat, but now that you mention it, he does kind of look like Elton John.
  10. Yur like a much dummer vershon of Prole. Now click your heels together three times, and repeat after me: ad-hominem...ad-hominem...ad-hominem...ad-hominem...
  11. That's because there is nothing of substance in any of your posts. Just endless, unchanging, self-loathing drivel. For your govern? Gimme a fucking break, tool. Nobody talks like that. You did, however, reply directly to Rob's post in the second person by using the pronoun you, so yes, you did actually call Rob a McCarthyist. Additionally, your use of particularly doesn't disqualify your support of Hugo Chavez. Why don't you just admit you like his program?
  12. I'll bet this is the first time anyone has ever called Rob a "McCarthyist". Um, you really didn't view the link, did you. You're like a little wind-up toy...
  13. So much for the "new ethics", eh?

    OMFG!!

"Doctors then insert a hollow tube through the vagina with a bag at the end.' Damn. All this time I was a doctor and didn't even know it!
  15. Check your driver's license. Now you can see anyone's Driver's License on the internet, including your own! I just searched for mine and there it was picture and all!! Thanks Homeland Security! Where are our rights? I removed mine. I suggest you do the same . . . Go to the Web site and check it out. Just enter your name, city and state to see if yours is on file. After your license comes on the screen, click the box marked "Please Remove". This will remove it from public viewing, but not from law enforcement. http://www.license.shorturl.com

  17. Girth-hitching your dead partner as a rap-anchor to escape the ledge. Has it ever been done? Damn.
  18. This is where you're being duped (BTW; it's $900 billion). This bill is completely separate from Bush's $700bn TARP program and the half left for the Obama Administration to allocate. This is a completely new spending bill--over and above Bush's-- that contains only a modest amount of real economic stimulus. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/first100days/2009/02/02/key-democrat-says-lawmakers-strip-tens-billions-stimulus/
  19. Boo-fucking-hoo. The guy constantly adopts the superior-intellect strategy, insults the accomplishments of others, then plays the only card he has. Let him fight his own battles.
  20. Is it true you were secretly watching her undress through her third floor bedroom window when the ladder fell over?
  21. ...as a great big THANK YOU to those who supported Democrats in 2008. But it looks like this bill is too rancid even for a few honorable senate Dems. Will there be enough of them crossing over to give this abomination the smack down it deserves?
  22. When I was a kid my friends and I rode our bikes from Steilacoom out to the Nisqually Reservation where we purchased five M-80's, and a really cool tennis ball with a fuse protruding from it--all for $35.00. John's dad found the tennis ball in his room later that day and confiscated it, but I had retained possession of the M-80's. Feeling responsible for the loss of bomb, John came through with a Bluet Gaz canister lifted from his dad's camping kit and we promptly duct-taped one of the M-80s to it, took it down to Grant's Cove, and lit the fuse. The M-80 went off with a boom and there seemed to be a full second delay before the butane cloud flashed. We could feel the heat from more than 100 feet away. Good times. I'll bet a Coleman propane canister would be even better. Anyway, I'll bet punching a hole into a stove canister and igniting it would make for a great emergency locator/hair removal device.
