A big fire has closed this access to Mt Maude etc. It had us wondering wether we should be messin around climbing. We were almost trapped in the area when it tried to jump our return road to Lake Wennatchee. They kept it from doin that but sent a helicopter in the base camp to tell folks to scram!

We had a good outing too on the N.Face rt. . I was not even ready for cold, it sprinkled a bit in the am as well . we almost got bagged by a MAJOR FIRE IN THE AREA> It is now closed-
