An enormous road kill has been erected on an Italian mountainside where it will stay for the next 20 years.
The 200-foot-long road kill lies on the side of the 5,000 foot high Colletto Fava mountain in northern Italy's Piedmont region.
Viennese art group Gelatin designed the giant soft toy and say it was "knitted by dozens of grannies out of pink wool".
Group member Wolfgang Gantner said: "It's supposed to make you feel small, like Gulliver. You walk around it and you can't help but smile."
And Gelatin members say the road kill is not just for walking around - they are expecting hikers to climb its 20 foot sides and relax on its belly.
The giant road kill is expected to remain on the mountain side until 2025.
From what I have read, there was also a problem with the narrowness of the roadbed being partly to blame for the oscillation. Wider roadbed would require wider space within the tower.
Driving back from Leavenworth this weekend, we encountered the start of a stop-and-go line at the Index turn-off. I remembered driving from Gold Bar to Index via a gravel backroad several years ago and decided to give it a go. (It's the one that continues on past the Lower Wall parking.) Turns out they've paved it all the way to it's connection with the May Creek Rd. Taking the May Creek Rd west took us to the west side of Gold Bar which cut out about 13 miles of stop-and-go traffic. Combined with Kellogg Lake Rd and the Ben Howard Rd to 203 and Duvall-to-Woodinville and we spent very little time with the masses on HWY 2.
They actually cut the audio feed when someone in the crowd yelled, "Yeah! A heck of a job totally fucking things up!"
Same guy that told Cheney to go fuck himself probably.
I made this up. Sorry
