i don't know. i'd have to look for it. i do believe it said "no body armor" and not "not the best". what's remfs? It's highly unlikely that 1/3 has zero body armor. They issue that shit just to go to the grenade range in normal units to everyone. Long before anyone is called to combat......

Hey folks I never said anything about rainwear and pit zips and the quality of it keeping me dry. My comments are shell vs gore-tex. If you have real input cool.

I got a plastic or rubber jacket. It does not breathe like gore tex does not either. I got it for free. I am pleased except that it doesnt have under arm zippers and the hood is small. Where are the good jackets that are rubber or plastic that have these features?

HW Tilman - not always climbing, but always adventure and lots of climbing. He has a couple of compilations. He was lost at sea in '76. He incorporated sailing and climbing until he was in his 70's including a solo bicycle ride across Africa and ventures into Asian mountains and a crossing of the Patagonian Ice Cap with a non English Speaking partner.... First of all it is by design that not all M1 tanks have the mine raker in front. It hinders mobility drastically. Although the subject may not be in an area where it hindered mobility the overall planning and logistics are that it's not really feasible for every M1 tank to have one... About lack of body armor. Well welcome to war. Every soldier has body armor. But what type is the real question. When I was in the Mog we were introduced to the first type of body armor that the military was issuing on large scale that would stop rifle fire. This is a spendy issue. But most of all the body armor that stops rifle fire is normally exclusive to the combat arms MOS's There are certainly times when combat arms does not have them issued - usually in the first few days of arrival on my past experiences. But after that there is no real excuse for not outfitting them properly.

I said it was boring. The search function works for me. I know how to enter the data. I am not arguing the simple concept of the poll though. That is new and cooler than most previous requests. New information is usually something like blowdowns or avalanche debris. I still stand with this as a boring subject most of the time.
