  1. 5.6 => GNS 5.7 => Old grey Mare/Apron Jam 5.8 => Lizard 5.9 => Princely 5.10a => Sagg Sabre is a sandbag!
  2. A length or two of chain is pretty cheap and can easily be replaced on most anchors. If people were to get in the habit of replacing worn gear, this question would be of little interest.
  3. That story is unlikely to be true given that the YDS was really developed in So Cal => TDS.
  4. I think so - left side of a gulley -a much better 5.11 just to the left
  5. agreed And while we are at it...that Babies route is only 5.11
  6. I pull out my 1974? Ascent and use Bridwell's ratings... link
  7. With regard to the title of this thread RumR is most certainly an expert! I on the other hand have found it easier to give up all indepenednt thought and thus ridding the whip of its persuasive powers.
  8. I actually went climbing for a change: Tried American Caesar. Then I tried it in TR. It’s moderate flared hands/fists to a bulge where the crack narrows considerable only to open up a bit above the bulge. Today at work everyone has asked: "What happened to your hand?"

    Kraftwerk!

KW has a new live CD out. I bought the live CD today and it's wonderful. They had some Kraftwerk vinyl on sale right by the check out counter. New vinyl. They probably sell more vinyl than any '70's era band. When those Scratcher's have an itch they reach for Kraftwerk! In fact, I believe that all Kraftwerk CD's are available in vinyl. SO, are KW the funkiest white guys around?

  11. I was just coming clean because I recieved several pm's asking if I knew contact info for possible summer employment!
  12. I was fully joking with my earlier response. I think the term "kiosk" is being used loosely. I believe it is closer to a small structure for a b board at the trailhead. Matt would certainly have more details. EDIT:( from the WCC site) The kiosk is going to be one of those heavy-duty wooden signboards with a picnic-shelter overhang on top. It'll house signs about low trace climbing, wilderness regulations, and an informational poster about the goat counting project being undertaken by the Sauk-Suiattle tribe.
  13. The kiosk will only be manned during the summer months and then only on weekends and holidays. Personally I think the opportunity to buy a cold drink and a snack near the base will totally rock. I just hope that it is available to hide from the rain when is not staffed.
  14. Let's all lower and TR but throw a length of chain and a wrench in our packs for repairs.

    Housing Bubble?

  16. Yes, Dick is pretty quick to moderate slurs against him but is patronizing to others that may have been offended. Oh TomTom you're just being silly. THe only place I can moderate anything is in the RC forum. It's for RC discussion once people a start in with other topics I figure it's time to move the topic to spray.
  17. Here's a link of anyone want so see the thread this splintered from link
  18. Two precedents: A person standing in the doorway of his home can be arrested without an arrest warrant, because the doorway is public enough; another holdl that a person who was lying in bed and could be seen through the open door couldn't be arrested, because he was still in his private home. What to do when - someone opens the door while lying in bed!?!?!? llink
  19. Squid , I merely asked that this conversation should continue in another forum. I never said anything that could be remotely concieved as denying that Toast was honestly offended. Better spend a few days at Sylvan working on your reading skills. Love, PP
  20. Here's the deal..everyone made their point. I think everyone agrees - even Toast - that Jap as used here was merely shorthand for Japanese and that their was no slur intended. Case closed on the RC forum. feel free to discuss this subject elsewhere.
  21. The route's name is Japanese.. I am guessing Jap as used here is just an abreviation to avoid typing.

try Forbes: Markets also appeared unimpressed by the appointment of Dominique de Villepin as France's new Prime Minister. De Villepin replaces Jean-Pierre Raffarin, who resigned earlier today after France's massive rejection of the proposed EU constitution. De Villepin, a close ally of Chirac for several years, was previously interior minister. Markets had been holding out hope that Raffarin would be replaced by the more reform friendly Nicolas Sarkozy, currently the president of Jacques Chirac's ruling UMP party.
  23. Thanks really it was just a matter of admitting to myself I was a moron and a dumb ass. After that it was easy!
  24. That was me..your self equalizing thing just seemed messy to me.
