Nice one....I went up that side for the Cooper Spur on Wed afternoon only to get to treeline and realize I left my headlamp and compass in the car....hiked back out drove around to the southside to try that...got to Silcox only to realize my lamp didn't work, even with new batteries. so I drove back to P-town in disgust...

Nope...doesn't sound good. Hope it turns out better then it sounds at the moment...

It's the telliphony game...starts somewhere and goes completely elsewhere...I can't wait to get back climbing and fully recovered from my ACL surgery so I can choose to climb more then choose to read through a plethora of posts to find something worthy... Seattle, you could also hang at the UW rock by Husky Stadium. I learned a few good things there and meet a few good people too back in 2000...when I lived up there.

I skied Timberline yesterday....snow was fast iced slush below lodge....above lodge snow was fast with new snow falling...didn't dig a pit as I was inbounds...will be venturing onto the north side next Thursday/Friday to hit some ice and ski....maybe.

I was just wondering...I don't know the peeps who placed them...and if they knew how to place them....I know that Basalt is solid....but not everyone's bolt placing abilities are solid. That's the point I was getting at.

Erie shall apply for a permit from the Parks and Recreation Department. Instructional climbing groups of any size shall contact the Parks and Recreation Department to discuss plans and size of their group. They must sign the City’s hold harmless agreement, and provide proof of liability insurance, participant waivers, date(s) of use, a dispersal plan for where they plan to climb on the mountain, and a sanitation plan. Proposed climbing dates should be submitted 3 months in advance to the Parks and Recreation Department. Instructional groups shall have all paperwork submitted one week prior to use on the mountain." That's all I found so far...

Maybe I'll throw in a few Flatiron style bolts....If I remember right, those are 1 inch diameter and maybe 24" long with an eye.

No bolts....maybe a piton or two...but hopefully clean aid.

If I send a large photo file of Crown Point to someone on here...I was wondering if I could get routes drawn in on the face. I have an ancient guide book with a sketch showing two routes...I need more info on this cliff. Thanks for any help.

i agree - hooking in holes iz kewl! I'd disagree, patch'em. Yeah...holes are just as bad as the bolts....
