Had 4 great days in Lillooet...2 with iceguy and 2 with Mrs. Bone. It's nice and cold up there now and most everything is coming into fine shape. All 3 pitches of Icy BC are in, and the pillar variation to the right of the 3rd pitch looks solid. It looks like the Diversons flows have been taken out. Wait for Spring is living up to its name. TR'd No Deductable, fun route(on toprope)! Got to lead Deeping Wall for the first time...fun route, its in great shape and takes good pro the whole way. Even the bottom half of Honeyman was frozen up!

Mike, Feathered Friends probably has the largest selection, Marmot in Bellvue also has some things that they don't have, like Pika cam hooks and alien offsets...also, pro-mountain sports has a few odds and ends that no one else has....like the Kong Fi-Fi. Talk with Jeff at FF, he's pretty knowledgable. Get your aid on and we'll go speed up El Cap sometime...have fun, nice job in Red Rocks, sounds cool! Matt

We did it once in Red Rocks to get off of Chrymson Chrysalis. We had four people, -two seperate rope teams with one rope each. You need to ropes to rap off, so our plan was to rap together. Rather than wait for 4 people to rappel 6 or 7 times, we simo rapped. It worked just fine, just be sure to put bigger knots in the end and be more careful/controled.

right on dkemp! remember...the more weight you put on that back ski, the less squirly it'll be. twist that inside hip into the hill, and think big-toe-pinky toe. also, you don't need to dip to the ground to make a good tele turn...thats just what people do to look cool. ok end of free advice, anymore will cost you a beer, have fun! are you switching from alpine, or starting from scratch?

I'm sure we''ll find somethin to scratch on...I'd rather go to Banff, but it just ain't in the cards.

It was just as warm last season and we got lots of cool climbs in....while everyone was spraying on line how much things sucked. You arn't bursting my bubble...I'll be climbing while you are sitting in town moping. yeah we are bringing skis too...Whistler is phase 2 of the plan. Still need a partner for monday

yeah yeah...I live in Oregon remember...I'll climb in the rain, as long as there is ice!

Since we are on the subject, is there a log bridge to cross for Night'n Gale, or do you have to wade across there as well?

If you'd like to use them for siummer alpine climbing at all, go with edellwise sratos...I often climb on a single strat in the mountains. If it is strickly ice, go with skinnier ones. I baught a good pare of Rocas at Pro Mountain Sports. 8.1s I think. Don't fall. Whatever you do make sure it has a good dry treatment and is at least 60m....70m isn't a bad idea.

Whats up Glen! Ashland is cool...for what it is, similar to Snowqualimie pass in length of runs, but some are pretty steep. LOTS of cool tree skiing. 3 old school lifts. Skied knee deep freshies on Sunday They have night skiig on Saturdays, Chrysten wants to go with you, sorry...I'll be in Lilooet...

they just point'em and go...or should I say shuss...
