The article states C2's may be on their way as well. Are they going to try to do what splitter cam has not been very successful doing? the C4's are nice, I got to see an early prototype last winter. Surprisingly light. However, it will be annoying that the sizes changed. but I never bought the 3.5 or 4.5, so I probably won't notice too much.

I agree, plastics plastic. I feel it is better to use a wide variety, so you do not get too used to a single type. LA Rock Gym (now Beach City Rocks) does this too, sometimes with the help of a can of spray paint.

BMI is the biggest load of horse shit. They try to make it easy with a single number, but people are not that normal to simplify overweight down to a single number, as calculated from weight and height....

I saw some cool shit at the show. There are some funky new cams that people are looking at. Both the Trango 3-axle, cam that has a range of about 2 camalots. Very interesting to play with. Also, Omega Pacific is working on a cam as well, really funky, not sure if it will be rugged enough for climbing, but a cool toy... Shit, those Suunto watches are expensive. need to take out a loan to buy most of them. Nice features, but they look like you are strapping a huge computer to your wrist.

With as fast as digital technology is moving, are cameras going to be like computers where you have to buy new ones every 3 years? I still use a film camera that is 10 years old, and it still takes great pictures, and more or less compares with cameras of similar price today... I am thinking of purchasing a digital, I would like a SLR, such as the Rebel or D70, and a small point/shoot for casual shots.

How has the snow been up at Stevens recently? I just got back from Utah, skiied Alta and Solitude. That snow was great Now I am planning on hitting Stevens this weekend, and I am hoping that it is decent, but I know coming from Utah it is going to feel like concrete...
