  1. I read a reference to military analysis by Katie Couric and Matt Lauer. I had no idea that newscasters were so well trained.
  2. Heavy snow falling today in the Wasatch. But nothing like the Colorado dump.
  3. Using one biner ups the chances of the biner getting torqued. Don't know why someone would do that for a whole pitch, but guides are highly trained professionals.
  4. I hooked up flipper once. I was soaking a caballito on 60# test fishing for yellowfin tuna at Pierce's point at little smoky in the Revilla Gigedos a couple hours before sunrise. The first run was a scorcher, and I was nearly spooled --thought I'd have to go to a backup rod (that's where you clip off the first rod, and throw it in the water to continue on a second). I buttoned the drag and brought the mammal alongside where we were able to cut it loose. It's very rare to fool a mammal with a hook, but it does happen.
  5. homeboys have been going hard for days. impressive. maybe they'll get rest while the wind blows.
  6. Absorption is the problem. The chondroitin is large, and doesn't pass through the gut lining as well as the much smaller glucosamine.
  7. dude, the bloodletting hasn't even begun. I reckon that when Saddam and his sons are running (or hiding like Aidid), old scores will be ruthlessly settled. Few societies have ever thrown off their reins in a peaceful way.
  8. here's some cheery Chuck poetry for ya "waiting in a life full of little stories for a death to come" more "I smoke cigarettes and drank beer until I felt good enough to board the bus with the souls of all those dead animals riding with me; heads would turn slightly women would rise and move away from me." (kinda like riding the shuttle bus in the valley)
  9. I take 1.5g a day. The stuff I've got is by NOW (www.nowfoods.com), was $36 (240 capsules, 750mg each), and will last me 120 days.
  10. I'm working myself up to an "emotional breach".

    I'm back!

weak effort. your spray quotient is woefully lacking --nearly extinct.
  12. Negotiations have started with the big boys. Maybe I can sleep again.
  13. don't forget the "cup of coffee". Hehe
  14. Don't have to use hot water unless you want. Go through the bulk bins at Overwaitea to build your own monster, add some powdered milk, you're good to go.
  15. I need to import, or synchronize, an outlook.pst file from Windows 2000 to XP between different users. Anybody know an easy way to do this?

    FliP...

A podiatrist can inject a poison in the nailbed to kill it. I've heard of people doing this to get rid of fungus. Harsh.

    FliP...

I've got a pair of Z2s that wear like iron. Totally great for landlocked summer. Beach time is another story. On a boat I use slip ons (nylon dries slowly), or xtratuf boots if toothy fish are being caught. I've never seen a hottie on the docks, or beach, wearing the clunkers. Painted toes look so much better when they match the sandal. hotcha!

What are those trendy shower sandals from Brazil called? On the right feet, with the right legs that go all the way to . . . Now that's the izzy fo shizzy.

    What is war?

Someone woke up all thoughtful, and shit. Maybe didn't sleep at all last night? Whatever, freak. There's other shit to worry about like our own jobs. Meanwhile, route names: Sensitive Site Exploitation MOAB (Mother Of All Buckets?) blue screen of death (f'ing STOP error is messing with my mind)
  23. The bulk of the collected fees are spent on the reserve. Though campsites are taken quickly on some weekends, often there's open sites in the far campground that's out past the Breadloaves. Once upon a time, when Pat was running the NAF store, I'd say you'd have a good chance of getting a free place to crash out there (about 15 miles from the reserve toward the south end of the Raft River mountains. But they sold the place a couple years back. It was again for sale last summer and closed, too (and no cold Coors as a result).
  24. It would seem that the press is being used to create suspicion among Saddam's cadre of supposed loyalists. Expect executions from it.
  25. FYI, the pouch design you refer to was knocked off from Cold, Cold World. I suggest sewing your own as a dual beaver tail/pocket. I've suggested the design to several pack makers since I've been frustrated with current design limits to carrying ice-gear and a snowboard.
