I think Fred's was a good place, maybe a little difficult to find if you dont' know where snohomish is. Good beer, a little pricey.

Why is the hot tub an all guy event. It is more fun with girls, boys Uh, does anyone else see that little pink thing between that guys right elbow and hip?

sounds ominous. Sorry to hear about the skiers, it makes no difference if they were heliskiers from Rio or X-country skiers from Norway, none of them deserved to die in that avalanche.

I thought it was eastside's turn!

yous guys leave me outta this, I never spray anyways Mattp, do what you gotta do, I appreciate mostly spray free Trip Reports and Route Conditions. If I climbed more, I'd probably like them better, but that's a different story.

I remember a group like this that was planning to camp in the desert prior to Desert Storm and block the US tanks from rolling into Iraq. Never heard anything about it again. I figured they were either run over by tanks and nobody noticed or they didn't make it to their destination. Seemed kinda silly to me anyway, like setting up some tents in the rolling plains of Nebraska to stop cattle from stampeding to South Dakota. Silly people!

in case anyone else was wondering about this glue issue, here's some instructions I found on gluing a super gaiter that leaves an exposed boot sole (like the OR X Gaiter): On virtually all boots it will be necessary to glue the toe onto the rand of the boot. This is best done by turning the toe inside out and then fitting the heel of the gaiter to the boot. Then spread glue over the front of the boot rand and flip the gaiter toe over pushing it onto the boot and temporarily fixing it in place with sellotape. The best glue for the job seems to be Freesole, though any seam sealant should do.

So Ray and his mutt were up on the Mtn. Loop HWY hmm..... Man and his dog stuck atop ice caves Herald staff VERLOT -- A Snohomish County search and rescue team was called out Sunday to rescue a man and dog trapped on a ledge atop the ice caves near Verlot. The 20-year-old man had been hiking in the area with a friend when he became trapped at about 2:30 p.m., Snohomish County sheriff's Capt. Kevin Prentiss said. The friend then walked to the Verlot ranger station to report the problem. The ice caves are just off Mountain Loop Highway near Verlot. More than 15 people were looking for the man late Sunday afternoon. Prentiss did not know by press time how the man became trapped, but he said there is a search-and-rescue mission in the area at least once a year. "The ice caves are neat, but a lot of the time, people do things there that are not too smart," Prentiss said. This story can be found at: http://www.heraldnet.com/Stories/03/1/20/16390068.cfm

I think he's taking a nap, he's obviously a smoke jumper, and his heads too close to the ground to be pukin, it'd splatter all up in his face and his back's not arched like they do when you are really heaving. And you never piss, crap or puke in the uphill direction.

It'd be a better weapon than the soft pack. and you could use it for a helmet in a pinch, it would probably deflect rockfall better than a softie as well. I wonder if you could use it to protect your ass while glissading, use it kinda like a sled.

Not to be confused with any established Clean aid or free climbing routes. You'd think everybody knows this, but, pins still show up on the lower town wall's free routes for some reason.

you might also check here: www.nwog.org or whatever pot'teryx's home page is.

Big 4 Johnny: I'll see if I can help you out here, 1) Obviously, it's a big gosh darned face with lot's of route options, climbers memories fade from years of "medication" and altitude. The appearance of that face changes all the time. It's probably not intentional and while I think the discussion here is important, it seems to me like you guys may be splitting hairs. 2) see #1 3) considering you've made 3 attempts, that's a lot more time on the face than most of us have logged and that makes you a "foremost authority". The real question is- are you gonna get after it again this winter?

maybe you are too manly for your partners. get some tougher guys to climb with or be less gung ho. I tend to get yelled at for being too gung ho sometimes. cutting back on the coffee may help too, that's been a factor for me. Carbs are processed for energy a lot more efficiently than protien. I dont know what to tell you other than maybe you are an alien life form or some sort of bellingham mutant. I love carbo loading before a climb. Hope that helps.
