  1. I'll be there as well. Looking forward to reconnecting with some of you andm eeting new folks as well.
  2. Daisy, what happens when the three qualities you want exist in one man? I'll cook ya dinner, take you out dancing, and spend days in bed if you ask me nicely enough!
  3. How 'bout one for MY BALLZ!!!! I feel like I am going sterile every time I ride my mountain bike!!!
  4. I see this having pros and cons. It defeats the purpose of "jingle sniffing" (If you need a definition, I will explain) but on the positive side, You could sit in a park and get an eyefull of camel toes as they road by, which would be completely outlined by the split seat!
  5. Like father, like son!!!!! Right Dad? I, er, mean.....Trask? (Did I blow our cover?)
  6. Mix some percoset (sp?) with some infertility drug. You mean you actually have children. God help this world.
  7. rbw, Yes I was! Trask: "Don't you know who I am?!" Ryland:" No, I just thought you were that jester molester dude running around eluding the cops." Trask:" I AM YOUR FATHER!" Ryland: "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!"
  8. Hope you barbq his ass and get in line early! I have never had any trouble with that climb, but a friend of mine fell b/w 3 and 4 bolt and compound fractured her leg after hitting the ramp! CRAZY. Still a fun climb. Have to fight other climbers who climb up the 5.8 around the corner and try to set up TR for large groups sometimes.
  9. No, he didn't ride bikes, just sniffed the seats of girls' bikes after they were finished riding them for a while(ie. jingle sniffing)!!!
  10. I'll be making an appearance at Smith that weekend, LG! Have a date with Purple Aces.
  11. Never climbed there but always wanted to. Only got to climb at Linnville Gorge, Stone and Looking Glass when I lived in VA and TN. I'll climb it with ya when I move to Asheville in a year! Have a blast.
  12. Nobody wants to know what jingle sniffing is? Or is it that you all already know, or are practioners in the event?
  13. sorry for the double post. Invention in the making? Or is there already one out there? Maybe that is why I don't ride too much. Also the reason for not wearing banana hammocks every day, all day too! [ 10-25-2002, 01:17 PM: Message edited by: ryland moore ]
  14. quote: Holy shmokes, look at da pooper on that thing!Come on Trask! Of All people I would think you would know the difference b/w the trash can and the dinner table!!!!!! Especially when it comes to farm animals!! Bwahahahaha!!!!!
  15. I guess I should add that I do not use it for sport or trad climbs, although I could, but prefer cushier harness for that where multiple layers of clothing isn't required.
  16. I climb in the Wild Things Espresso. $50. Just like Alpine Bod, simple, durable, unpadded (not a prob. when mountaineering or ice climbing) and adjustable leg loops. Has 4 tough gear loops too. When I bought mine they were doing a deal with USHBA and I also received a free Big Wall Hauler. That was in the Fall of '98. I still love it though and it has been everywhere with me.
  17. Plus, you must be very efficient at placing screws. Takes more time than placing a piece of trad gear and you better like run-outs b/c placing screws every 20-30 ft is not uncommon. Oh yeah, and falling is not an option.
  18. quote: Now you've proved to me that your a moron in two threads. NEVER has MtnGoat (or I) said that we have a God-given right to screw others. That is YOUR twisted interpretation and selective reading of what we have to say. Did you not read my last post? You may exercise your personal freedom and liberty to the extent that it does not infringe the personal freedom and liberty of your neighbor. Very simple. How is that "screwing others"?Greg W you have proven yourself wrong. In your post you state that it is o.k. to do what you want as long as you don't infringe upon your neighbor, but you also state that you do as you please. So how do you know if you are infringing on your neighbor or not? Whn gas prices go up? When you can't see across Bostin Basin b/c of smog? This is simple economics you learn in high school with the example being two farmers. More can be produced, and more people succeed if their is cooperation and collaboration rather than I'll do what I want and you do what you want approach that you speak of. For the record I drive a Chevy extended cab PU and bought it for a firewood business I used to do in Jackson Hole. Now I am thinking of something smaller and ride my bike to work. I guess I am a liberal to my friends back East and a conservative to my firends out here. And as for the ANWR troll, an article I read on CNN.com said that over 80% of the oil would not remain within our domestic border. It would be exported for more money!
  19. I am using the Mt. Hardware Trango Assault. I used my partners on Aconcagua and throughout S.A. and it performed so well I bought one for myself. Downfall is that it is small. We had no problem spending 15 days in it though.
  20. Bone, empty your PM box sos I can send you one or check your e-mail.
  21. quote: that'll be a LONG drive for you eugenites!!!I ain't scared! (must say scared with two syllables) As for the quality of Bone's gear.......it's the shiznit!
  22. Hint, hint, hint........ I bet if you throw in a 3ft. log of horsecock those boots will be sold in a flash!
  23. Sorry Goddess, didn't make it to rope-up. You'd have known. I would have been howling at the moon and shooting bourbon. Unfortunately, I had to work and got some climbing in on Sunday (clipping bolts - don't tell anyone). Hope to meet you all soon! How about a backcountry winter rope-up invovling skiing and ice climbing? Any good spots up that way?
  24. Cooking dinner for the girlfriend, but have a lot of salmon, pheasant and chuckar if interested in the future! As for geology books, I was a geology and forestry major in college. I loved driving around the West and seeing the roadside geology. They started a series of books called "Roadside Geology" in each state and tell how the different formations came about (age, deposition, types of minerals, sedimentary, metomorphic, etc.) pretty cool! Once you have the basic terms down, you can understand the books. Maybe even the kids would like it on road trips! Case in point, one of the locations in the books are just north of Eugene where large boulders are sitting out in the middle of farm fields. How do ya suppose they got there? They do not have any similarities to formations around Oregon! They actually came from the Lake Missoula floods when a glacier moved across a river and dammed the river to create an enormous lake. Eventually the water broke through the ice and flooded many states. Traces from the flood are found in Nebraska even! Striations left on the rocks around Missoula MT. are over 5,000' high along the sides of the mountains! Pretty cool. Maybe E-rock could give more details or sharpen my fuzzy memory.
