Dunno if you all south of the line got hit by a week-long inversion like Vantown did, but a good bit of alpine water ice fell down/rotted out anyways, so the 3000m freezing level is only the icing on the gâteau.

All right, I just looked at the forecast; I'll admit that corn doesn't seem likely for next week. Oh well.

NWAC's website seems to be down right now, and NOAA doesn't seem to agree with their forecast.

 

Central Cascades:

 

Today: Sunny. Freezing level 2000 feet. Afternoon pass temperatures in the mid 20s to lower 30s. East wind in the passes 10 to 15 mph.

 

Tonight: Clear. Freezing level 2000 feet. Southeast wind in the passes 10 to 15 mph.

 

Friday: Sunny. Freezing level 2500 feet. Afternoon pass temperatures near 30 wind in the passes light..

 

Friday night: Mostly clear. Freezing level 2500 feet wind in the passes light..

 

Saturday: Mostly sunny. Freezing level 3000 feet. Afternoon pass temperatures in the upper 20s to mid 30s wind in the passes light..

 

Saturday night: Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain and snow. Snow level 2000 feet.

 

Sunday and Sunday night: Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain and snow. Snow level 4500 feet. Afternoon pass temperatures in the upper 20s to mid 30s.

 

Monday through Wednesday: Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain and snow. Snow level around 5000 feet. Afternoon pass temperatures in the 30s.

hopefully harvesting corn on the sw side of red mtn tomorrow before the clouds start to roll in and spoil the spring skiing goodness....only wish i'd had this whole week off so i coulda done more with the nice weather.

Corn has a remarkable diurnal variation. Morning's perfect crampon surface often leads to afternoon's velvet corn. What time of day was it? I'd be willing to bet there's fat corn to be skied there THIS VERY MOMENT.

Hanging out on the Yukon/BC border..gettin no where thanks to our SW jet stream..the Polar jet is carrying it through NE BC and grabbing all the other cold air over NWT and freezing the rest of Canada..more of a typical el nino flow for the PNW
