Dru Posted December 20, 2002 Posted December 20, 2002 Sent by Gollum in the opening scenes of LOTR Two Towers He downclimbs it! Dude has wicked ape index. There is also lots of slow lingering alpine porn shots of new zealand mountains again. Quote
COL._Von_Spanker Posted December 20, 2002 Posted December 20, 2002 I'm goin tonight. I hope it's not to dull, cause I usually fall asleep in period drama's. Quote
thelawgoddess Posted December 21, 2002 Posted December 21, 2002 I'm goin tonight. I hope it's not to dull, cause I usually fall asleep in period drama's. don't forget - this is just another piece of genius work by the guy who brought us "meet the feebles". if you fall asleep during this flick, i will have no more respect for you! iain Posted December 21, 2002 Posted December 21, 2002 is this the sequel to fraggle rock we're talking about? Quote
thelawgoddess Posted December 21, 2002 Posted December 21, 2002 oh, dude; fraggle rock was the shit!!! but, no ... not hardly. meet the feebles (warning: this muppet movie is NOT for the children!) Quote
iain Posted December 21, 2002 Posted December 21, 2002 fraggle rock could ONLY have been produced under the influence of some heavy intoxicants. Quote
salbrecher Posted December 21, 2002 Posted December 21, 2002 I fell asleep in LOTR . I tried watching it another time at a resonable hour but got just as bored and ended up watching "The Hot Chick". Quote
North_by_Northwest Posted December 21, 2002 Posted December 21, 2002 What's the connection between LOTR and "Meet the Feebles"? I haven't seen Feebles yet but they sound awful sick. How about the movie "Bad Taste", anyone seen that? It's from NZ. Quote
Necronomicon Posted December 21, 2002 Posted December 21, 2002 Don't forget "Bad Taste" and the classic "Dead Alive", which perhaps the goriest hilarity ever produced. My favorite scene is the fat Uncle taking a piss. If you pay attention, you can hear his kidney stones hitting the bowl. And don't forget the kick-ass priest giving it to the teenage zombies, or the shoulder-slung lawn mower zombie party clear-out/blood bath scene. TOO funny. Quote
Dru Posted December 22, 2002 Author Posted December 22, 2002 I have seen Bad Taste, Brain Dead (not "Dead Alive") AND Meet The Feebles. Dude that would make a wicked Triple-Bill. Quote
layton Posted December 22, 2002 Posted December 22, 2002 You're missing out if you haven't seen Dead Alive. I think it may be the funniest movie I have ever seen. Pure creative genious. Meet the Feebles is funny in idea, but when actulized, it is pretty lame. Wanna see two quality films? Check out David Lynch's early works, "The Alphabet, and The Grandmother" And then see "Vulgar" by the guys that brought you clerks, dogman, etc... Not what you will expect! Quote
thelawgoddess Posted December 26, 2002 Posted December 26, 2002 "Braindead was the original title for the movie, but Vidmark changed it to Dead Alive." when the third lotr comes out, i'm hoping cinerama will run marathon showings of all three books ... a screen release of the extended version of the fellowship would be nice, too. COL._Von_Spanker Posted December 26, 2002 Posted December 26, 2002 bring yer pea bottle. By the way, archie mcphees in ballard sells the hospital type pea bottles with a funny graphic on it. Not sure why, but it's prolly better than a nalgene. Quote
sk Posted December 26, 2002 Posted December 26, 2002 peeing in a bottle in a crowded theater is a little uncomfortable... I bet they would have intermission Quote
Greg_W Posted December 26, 2002 Posted December 26, 2002 Not to mention kind of loud after a $6 super-jumbo drink. Quote
thelawgoddess Posted December 26, 2002 Posted December 26, 2002 i saw a 15-hour movie once. IN GERMAN. well, actually it was a mini-series in germany, but they showed it here in one go - over two days at the grand illusion. it was awesome. although, somehow i think i'd have more "fun" at a lotr movie marathon ... ps, colonel: "pee" Quote
forrest_m Posted December 27, 2002 Posted December 27, 2002 when i was a kid, my friends and i went to the james bond film festival at the neptune, they showed all the movies in order back to back. we went in with a big bag of snacks and stumbled out, 16 hours later, completely destroyed. It would probably take a lot longer now, but i think the last flick was for your eyes only. i think that's still my fav. 007 movie, mostly because he kill some dude with a piton while prussiking a rope with his shoelaces Quote
