Cpt.Caveman Posted December 19, 2002 Posted December 19, 2002 If someone wants to hook up for some alpine shit this weekend let me know. I'd be interested in skiing Ruth and or Icy Peaks, a nice light trip up to the easy route on Colonial Peak, or something back near Chimney Rock. Quote
Jarred_Jackman Posted December 19, 2002 Posted December 19, 2002 I'll be staying at a friends house in Bellingham and don't know what the plans are yet. We're waiting to see what the sky looks like the days I'm there. I'll be there from the 20th-24th. I used to live there so I'm not totally clueless as to the area. Let me know if you are thinking about Colonial. I'd love to do Watusi Rodeo sometime so the normal route would be a good way to get near the peak before that. Is there a number I can call when I hit town? Quote
Cpt.Caveman Posted December 19, 2002 Author Posted December 19, 2002 Cool, well I dont want to wait for the weather. I'll be solo on something or with partner by 8 am saturday at a trailhead most likely. I sent my number..... I agree I like the Colonial idea the best.... Quote
Jarred_Jackman Posted December 19, 2002 Posted December 19, 2002 If you sent the number I didn't get it, mail it to jarredjackman@hotmail.com Are you up for a sunday outing, I know I'm game for sunday!!! We're thinking about Zero Gully as well, don't know if it's still good. Quote
Cpt.Caveman Posted December 19, 2002 Author Posted December 19, 2002 Still would prefer a partner. This jarred guy might not work out. Any gapers? I meant takers Quote
leejams Posted December 19, 2002 Posted December 19, 2002 I would be up for that climb on colonial. But no ice tools yet. Hopefully next week I might get a set who knows. Damn things are pricey. Quote
Cpt.Caveman Posted December 19, 2002 Author Posted December 19, 2002 leejams- I am not looking to ice climb the north side of the mountain. I am looking to do the "easy" route up there with a nice bivy (not so nice if it rains). Let me know if you want to take a hike up there. Quote
Cpt.Caveman Posted December 19, 2002 Author Posted December 19, 2002 I'd like to but I am not ambitious. I'd rather just chill and have a mellow time. I'm sure the route is good. But finding a partner online that I have never climbed with is not what I had in mind for that route. However I did climb Triple Coolers with Veggie like that Quote
fleblebleb Posted December 19, 2002 Posted December 19, 2002 I had plans for Saturday but that might fall through because of excess Centigrade  Oy! Where is the wazzup guy? Colonial sounds great, I'll be in touch. Quote
Cpt.Caveman Posted December 19, 2002 Author Posted December 19, 2002 flebleble - Looks like it's a go for us. Just got message from leejams- he sounds in. Call by tomorrow at noon or die on da toof with Wayne Quote
Cpt.Caveman Posted December 19, 2002 Author Posted December 19, 2002 BTW any stragglers without partners are welcome to join us. But logistics (tents, stoves, other gear, you'll have to bring). Quote
Highlander Posted December 19, 2002 Posted December 19, 2002 I will bring my chaps and spurs if anyone wants to head up the Rodeo route. Quote
Bronco Posted December 19, 2002 Posted December 19, 2002 great, I'll bring my little blue sled for the descent. Quote
Cpt.Caveman Posted December 19, 2002 Author Posted December 19, 2002 You're just jealous I have partners to climb with Quote
Dru Posted December 19, 2002 Posted December 19, 2002 Might be cold and icy right now? Or maybe not so we can top rope choss and call it mixed climbing. Quote
Cpt.Caveman Posted December 19, 2002 Author Posted December 19, 2002 I assume I will toprope the choss. You can lead all of it and make friends with Twight. Quote
Dru Posted December 19, 2002 Posted December 19, 2002 Im game. Home invasion of Lyle's Lilooet place while he is away in Lumby. I will trundle choss on my belayers. Quote
Cpt.Caveman Posted December 19, 2002 Author Posted December 19, 2002 If twight aint there it aint EXTREME Quote
Dru Posted December 19, 2002 Posted December 19, 2002 Twight is old skool. Gadd and House are the new Xtreme. Gadd is even sponsored by Red Bull Extreme Sports Beverage. Who extreme sponsors Twight, Prozac?? Quote
Cpt.Caveman Posted December 19, 2002 Author Posted December 19, 2002 Gadd is that like rad? Fuck. Quote
Cpt.Caveman Posted December 19, 2002 Author Posted December 19, 2002 Is house like the house you stay in after you climb the Eve Dearborn route or what. Is gadd like had - had been- or like never heard of had in the cascades? Quote
Dru Posted December 19, 2002 Posted December 19, 2002 I dont think Gadd has been rad in the Chosscades but House has a house (trailer) in Mazama which is rad east side. This sounds like Dr Seuss now! Quote
Cpt.Caveman Posted December 19, 2002 Author Posted December 19, 2002 Keep kissing it- I hear rad did some 5.12 at index poozer. Quote
Chongo Posted December 19, 2002 Posted December 19, 2002 I dropped acid and soloed the Twight route. Quote
