Matt_Alford Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Trip: Snow Creek Wall - Orbit Date: 4/30/2012 Trip Report: A bit older, a little fatter and a lot balder; Orbit is still a classy, diverse and exciting line. It is totally 5.8 d. Front Door Adventures Gear Notes: Bike lock Approach Notes: Over the river and through tick infested undergrowth. Quote
Tyson.g Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 "I catch plenty of shit from plenty of folks for my Front Door Adventure show, but to tell you the truth I don't really care much. I decided a while ago that I was going to do things a little differently, a little slower and little more sustainably. I might never climb in the great ranges of the world, and I hold no delusion that riding a bike to the mountains is going to save the planet. I do have faith though that a few people will take notice of a guy having a lot of fun making an effort to leave the world a little better than he found it. Maybe one of those people will discover the richness that leaving the car behind adds to an adventure; that is good enough for me." From Matts Blog - Great sentiment. Right on Matt! Quote
Dannible Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Nice. I live in Leavenworth and have been riding my bike up the canyon to go climbing since my car broke down and I can't afford to fix it. At first I thought it was a pain in the ass, but quickly realized that it is going to get me in pretty good shape. Quote
Pete_H Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 In Europe, with a bike and public transport you can pretty much get anywhere. Another thing they've got better than us. Quote

shaoleung Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 That's pretty awesome. I have to burn through a tank of gas to get to SCW... I should just move to leavenworth. Quote

cascadesdj Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 Good approach method. Once I rode my bike 4 days to sport climb at Smith. Was a great trip, but I cheated and caught a ride home. Quote
