jonathan5891 Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 (edited) Curtis, Ptarmigan, Kautz, Lib Ridge. Im a lowlander from ohio. Go ahead chuckle chuckle. Looking for someone that would be awesome enough to pick me up from sea airport and drop me back off at airport after climb and drinks. Ill toss you some money for gas and buy you drinks and whatnot. 26 in good enough shape to keep up with some of you highlanders. Im serious as hell Id like to get a taste of some earlier climbing such as mid may. Whatever is cool. Thanks Edited February 24, 2011 by jonathan5891 Quote
DPS Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 So, you need a ride from SeaTac airport to Mt Rainier, and then back? I'll do it. I have a truck big enough for you and all your gear. Say $100 round trip? That seems pretty reasonable. Quote
Burke M Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 Your climbing resume would probably be more appropriate than your skin tone. Quote
saxybrian Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 Kautz route really isn't in until late June/July. And What Void said, Resume is prob the most important thing, if you haven't done any big stuff yet, you prob need to slog up the DC/ID/Emmons/Gib Ledges route first. Quote
jonathan5891 Posted February 18, 2011 Author Posted February 18, 2011 Im gonna post resume. I originally joined to purchase some gear. Just have not got around to it. Quote

robertjoy Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 Can we presume you mentioned you are WHITE, so that your driver could pick you out of the crowd at SeaTac Airport? Quote
outofohio Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 I grew up in Toledo also, best decision I ever made was leaving that place. Is that one of the signs posted along the Ottawa River by chance? Quote
Water Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 (edited) yes, i remember as a kid when those signs went up. i lived in point place neighborhood northeast of summit street and shoreland avenue. I also remember the summer of 1994 when Perstorp was unloading their formeldahyde into the river because it was cheaper than paying for disposal. waking up in the middle of a humid night to the horrid stench of a dying river that turned completely anaerobic [die fish, die]. I'd like to think these types of environ horror as a child steeled my appreciation for less tainted areas. Edited February 23, 2011 by Water Quote
Pete_H Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 What a coincidence! Water is also white. Quote
