summitchaserCJB Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 So you know that boulder that you pass on the wall to the Inner wall. I believe it is a shoulder of the Garden Wall. Anyway, I lost my Index guide a couple years ago and I can't find it anywhere. So, what is that route that goes up past the single bolt, over the knobs, and traverses the crack? Not super hard but fun. Quote
keenwesh Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 it's 10d, I want to lead it but the fixed pin is missing up top and that bolt it one of the mankiest things ever, on par with the bolt on P2 of city park. Quote
summitchaserCJB Posted July 18, 2010 Author Posted July 18, 2010 ya pretty mank. I also checked the crack up top- some opportunity for pro but I wouldn't want to place it on lead. Might do it with pre-placed gear but what's the point, ya know? Quote
RuMR Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 Wow!!! Another opportunity for a FIRST ASCENT!!! Get on it SCCJB!!! Quote
summitchaserCJB Posted July 18, 2010 Author Posted July 18, 2010 I hear vertical world has some good ones as well. Quote
rob Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 that's funny, you made it sound like you already lead it. "Not super hard but fun" Â Quote
RuMR Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 watcha talkin' bout Rob? He's already sent it FFA!!! Â SCCJB, i can't climb at index very well, its real rock after all! Quote
summitchaserCJB Posted July 18, 2010 Author Posted July 18, 2010 RuMR- It's ok I can't climb inside very well. Quote
RuMR Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 hmmm, i was kidding...i climb about the same inside or out...its just climbing... Quote
summitchaserCJB Posted July 18, 2010 Author Posted July 18, 2010 I know....It's just funny cause you guys like to make fun of my v4 attempts inside. I know I don't climb hard I just think it's funny when people are obsessed with grades. One thing I disagree with is that inside and outside are roughly equivalent. I mean, yes, in some ways. But inside tends to be more overhung because they have copious amounts of jugs hanging everywhere where outside it is more the lack of good holds that makes a climb hard and not overhangs (at least in this part of the country). I suck at overhangs and it knocks easily a grade off my sending ability. Quote
marc_leclerc Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 Visit Horne lake then say there are no juggy overhanging walls around..... Quote
summitchaserCJB Posted July 18, 2010 Author Posted July 18, 2010 Where did I say that? Where did I say exactly that there are no juggy overhanging walls around? Quote
keenwesh Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 prepare for battle marc! CJB is on the attack!!! Quote

rocketparrotlet Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 What else is on the garden wall? Worth climbing? Quote
Crillz Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 What else is on the garden wall? Worth climbing? Â Mosquitos!!! Â A few good topropes with a "bit" of gardening. Quote
summitchaserCJB Posted July 25, 2010 Author Posted July 25, 2010 Ya there are a few things. Maybe worth cleaning if you have spare time. Quote
summitchaserCJB Posted August 14, 2010 Author Posted August 14, 2010 it's 10d, I want to lead it but the fixed pin is missing up top and that bolt it one of the mankiest things ever, on par with the bolt on P2 of city park. FYI I led it yesterday with pre-placed cams so it is possible. 3 cams fit nicely along that top seem. Get on it! Quote
