JayB Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 Canada ranks 30th on the same report. Odd that we're not debating the merits of adopting a Maltese Health Care System here - 'specially since it checks in 25 places ahead of Canada! Quote
olyclimber Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 Well how many people does it server vs. Canadia? Do compare. Quote
StevenSeagal Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 Yes we want pie charts and a full cost/benefit analysis for each of the top 50 countries by 8 AM tomorrow. Quote

prole Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 This would probably be a better time for one of your monologues on the dangers of mob rule. But for some reason I don't think that's coming. Quote
olyclimber Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 seriously. its not an argument. i'll take your orginal statement as the non-sequiter. Quote
JayB Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 Yes we want pie charts and a full cost/benefit analysis for each of the top 50 countries by 8 AM tomorrow. Â Why bother when you know that the US is 37th - that's right, thirty...seventh - on the WHO rankings? Any further analysis is clearly superfluous. Â Â Quote
JayB Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 seriously. its not an argument. i'll take your statement as the non-sequiter. Â I was actually hoping that you were going to argue that Canada is a more relevant model because the scale of a health system is more significant than the structure. Or something. Â Disappointing. Quote
olyclimber Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 well its more disappointing to see such an apparently bright person unable to use basic reasoning. Â scale might be more significant than structure? no shit sherlock. Â Â Quote
Fairweather Posted August 19, 2009 Author Posted August 19, 2009 "Of all tyrannies a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience."  --C.S. Do let us know when you find it. Quote
olyclimber Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 neat qoute. ergo he thought that those without a conscience were on better footing than those with one when it came to tyranny. it may be better to live without morality than live with the wrong morality. interesting stuff from the good Christian Mr. Lewis. olyclimber Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 fucken a prole. haven't you seen the various videos from town halls? apparently Obama is Hitler and his Healthcare plan is the Final Solution. get with it. Quote

olyclimber Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 but seriously Jay. If you're going to dis the WHO report, as least be a little more responsible in your own analysis. like steven said, give us some pie charts. make real scientific analysis rather than just being the snide and sarcastic counter point to those you despise. that my job anyway. non-sequiter. prole Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 (edited) Because it abrogates a legitimate contract I have with my health insurance provider... Â Oh please. Stop me if you've heard this one before: "Like your health insurance? Fine. Keep it. The public option plan is just that, an option." Â Personally, I'd like the freedom to be able to choose the option being put forth by the Obama Administration. If anyone's rights are being infringed upon, it's the people who're un and/or underinsured who'd like to have access to some goddamn health-care. Â But sure, if you want to carry on about the abrogation of your health care contract, I'm sure we'd all love to get some detailed clarification on that. Looking forward to it. Choada_Boy Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 Seriously, though, do all these right-wing fucktards like Fairweather actually believe their own thoughts and oral spew? How can you be that mentally diminished and still convert oxygen into carbon dioxide? Quote
