hafilax Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 Did anyone catch that Fox snuck the (D) in there next to his name in the initial reports instead of the ®? Quote
prole Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Hey, you're all a bunch of hypocrites. If this guy were a Republican you'd be all over him. Where is your outrage?! Oh, wait...FUCK! Quote
j_b Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Did anyone catch that Fox snuck the (D) in there next to his name in the initial reports instead of the ®? You mean like they do quite often in inital reports when some republican official is involved in a scandal? It is quite a testimony to what they think of their audience's intellect that they hope to get away with that crap over and over again. On Fox, Mark Sanford "(D)" holds press conference Quote
Dhamma Posted June 25, 2009 Author Posted June 25, 2009 (edited) If it turns out Barack Obama likes to dress up in Michelle's clothes (that'd be a funny mental image!), who cares? Private should be private. I totally agree that private should be private. I also think that guys (politician or not) who fuck around on their wives (who are not in some kind of swinging relationship) are scumbags with no moral compass. She's a bitch? doesn't fuck you anymore? you don't love each other anymore? whatever. Been there. Be a fucking man, do the honorable thing and leave her before you start carrying on another relationship. /end preach Edited June 25, 2009 by Dhamma Quote

Doug Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 So does Fox doing the same thing for the Bush administration make things fair and balanced? Or guilty of the same crime? Let he who is without sin cast the forst stone..... Quote
Fairweather Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 ABC broadcasts under a restricted license on public airwaves. FOX does not. Quote

Doug Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 I dunno, how long do they have air a rebuttal? THis is an empty argument FW. Don't hold ABC up for political promotion and pandering when it goes on at both ends of the spectrum. Outlets and networks and their affiliations and allegiances are why I mine the interwebs for news. Quote
Fairweather Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 I dunno, how long do they have air a rebuttal? None. ABC refused to accept any rebuttal--paid or otherwise. Quote
StevenSeagal Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Why do you care anyway? You won't be watching it anyway since you're glued to Fox, where "fair and balanced" means they'll have Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilly, AND Ann Coulter each evening. Quote

More lies from Fairweather. ABC said they would cover all sides of the issue, and if recent history is any guide, the single-payer option is the one likely to get least coverage despite being suported by a majority of americans according to polls: A recent FAIR study (3/6/09) showed that of hundreds of newspaper and broadcast stories on healthcare reform in the week leading up to Obama's March 5 healthcare summit, only five included the views of single-payer advocates; none of those appeared on television. A Nexis search of all ABC News transcripts for the past six months shows that single-payer has been mentioned only four times, three of them by opponents dismissing the idea (3/5/09, 6/14/09, 6/14/09) and once in a reference to Medicare by liberal economist Paul Krugman (5/31/09). http://www.fair.org/index.php?page=3816 In other words, the corporate media does not cover the progressive point of view (duh), yet republicans whine about censorship and the corporate media provides them with the echo-chamber they need to amplify their whining. What a pathetic farce! Quote
