chucK Posted April 8, 2002 Posted April 8, 2002 Hey all you like me who could not bust the inertia and head to Index on this beautiful sunny day. Now is the time!! It's gonna be raining for the next 40 days. I'm fleeing the office now. UW Rock. Be there! I'll give a parking pass to the first CC.comer. Later. See you there. I'll be the guy with the old-style Huecos and the math geek shirt. Quote
Lambone Posted April 8, 2002 Posted April 8, 2002 If only I had my shoes with me...or at least something besides these bike shoes... Quote
specialed Posted April 8, 2002 Posted April 8, 2002 I'd go but Erik stole my rasta knit cap last weekend and I just can't boulder without it. And I don't have my crashpad or big communal chalk bag with me. Damn. Quote
erik Posted April 9, 2002 Posted April 9, 2002 quote: Originally posted by Lambone: You'll need lots of chalk today! actually bone, i think chalk today would hamper your progress.......it would create a nasty think slimy white ooze on your hands....i climb in the rain on occasion and after my own theories and studies i find it a negative factor..... then again chalk is the true root of sweaty hands in the first place....plus it looks nasty on the rock and is a waste of money....now remember this is all my opinion and if you see me ever using chalk feel free to call me on it...... and where are the results on your survey yo?? erik Posted April 9, 2002 Posted April 9, 2002 and chucK, special does need those things....weak as he is any excuse to not go climbing works for him....... and special i gave your rasta knot cap to a young street punk named moonflower paste........... Quote
chucK Posted September 30, 2002 Author Posted September 30, 2002 Hey fellow Seattle sprayers! Â Head out to the UW Rock right now! I am going there. It is the thing to do! Quote

chucK Posted October 16, 2002 Author Posted October 16, 2002 OK, it's time I bring this'un up again. I'll give some notice this time though. Â It's beautiful day out today. You should use this opportunity to get ready for your moonlight ascent of Canary. Â I will be heading out The Rock around 4:30. I'll be wearing a non-descript UW intramural champion t-shirt if you wanna delurk. Â Oh, and bring me a beer. It's my birthday today! Â [ 10-16-2002, 03:02 PM: Message edited by: chucK ] Quote

thelawgoddess Posted October 16, 2002 Posted October 16, 2002 the uw climbing club will be there at 4:30. why not 4:20 is your own guess. perhaps one of you can show them the proper way to set up a slack-line ... Quote
chucK Posted October 16, 2002 Author Posted October 16, 2002 quote: Originally posted by thelawgoddess: the uw climbing club will be there at 4:30... How do they compare to the mounties? Â Are they going to be reserving stuff out there? Quote
thelawgoddess Posted October 16, 2002 Posted October 16, 2002 they will take it over!!! they're like the mountaineers ... only they're NOTHING like the mountaineers. Â they're all cool. that's how i got started in mountaineering a couple of years ago. good guys (and hopefully some gals). Quote
slothrop Posted October 16, 2002 Posted October 16, 2002 Naw, we don't pull any mounties-type shit. The club's mostly just a social thing, it's a way for UW folks to meet each other to drink and climb (in a newbie-friendly environment, no less). We'll be bouldering there and having a lil' BBQ, too.
